Actually the A Coupe on the other side of the 36 comes first, but I really like those Hudsons.... 20161126_114252.jpg

I have been working on yard art for the Christmas season. Mrs Binger has been heading up this project. Rudolf is going to be pedaling his ass off all December.

  7. Worked on the X-member on Mike's '33 (also worked on the engine mounts, alternator, and A/C compressor mounts; but that part is not hamb friendly). Repaired the sheared off mount bolts and got a little more done on lowering my '35 lights.

Turned out to be a nice day so I got one of the cars out to go to the store. Ended up enjoying a long ride home.

  9. Chased a nasty oil leak. New crate ZZ SBC.
I've been too weak and sick to mend it the past 3 months so had to enlist the local go-to guy on the other side of town.
I thought the valve cover were leaking but it ended up being a cork style back intake gasket got moved rearward opening up a piss hole.
The original cork never never had the sticky plastic film removed from the contact surface plus too small a PCV valve pushed it out of proper resting place.
All's good with my tiny world now hopefully.[IMG]

Just woke up after a 15 hour drive from the Turkey run in Daytona, driving straight through is getting tougher every year but I can still do it.

  11. I remember when me and my wife used to drive straight through from Rapid City South, Dakota to just north of Knoxville, Tennessee. That was after I got off from work on Friday at about 4 o'clock. We haven't done that in a long time and probably won't.

image.jpeg Replaced the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets after our record run at El Mirage in November. Trouble is I have to make them as the ones available don't seem to hold up. Last week I removed the pan for bottom end inspection and need to remove the fire bottles for bi-annual inspection. May comes up fast.

Installed the repaired manually wind up clock in my 55 sunliner, not sure how much I will use it but no sense in having something on the dash that does not work.

  18. Fabbed and welded up the bolt in transmission mount cross-member and cut out some boxing plates for the rear spring hangers on the '33. Spent what seemed forever getting the holes aligned and bolts thru the fenders, grille, inner fender panels, and frame; still several more to do.

  22. OT, but today I had the Harley fenders dropped off, from my pinstripe buddy.
I sprayed the fenders a few weeks ago, and my buddy has had the gas and oil tank for last twelve months.
It's all sorted, the gas tank really needed a respray, but it's to late now.
Hopefully the owner will come pick em up later today.

Been prepping food all afternoon. Kids are coming over tomorrow and they wanted me to make Natchitoches Meat Pies so that's what they get. Also dropped new camshaft for my 235 off at the machine shop to have the gear pressed on and took the flywheel to be machined as well. Merry Christmas to me!
