My wife's cat who has never been outside in her life except to go to the vet got fleas.
Must have came in of our clothes. So I got volunteered to give the cat a bath. She was not happy about that . Soaped up good with Dawn dish soap and then dandruff shampoo.
bombed the house and no more fleas.
Good use of my welding gloves to save me from getting scarred up by one pissed off cat.

I’ve got it figured out...... one of my neighbors hires his yard work done on a yearly bases. Since his leaves blow over on me and mine on him..... I just let his hired hands do the leaves for a while. Then when they all fall and find their place.... I take care of them with my zero turn lawnmower! ..." it’s hard to tell which leaves are his..... and which are mine! Lol

Spent an hour taking apart a T-Bucket front suspension. Someone started with some nice pieces a long time ago. From what I can tell, it was another one of those projects that never got on the road. Other than some flaking chrome, very usable . IMG_3619.JPG IMG_3592.JPG IMG_3594.JPG

I’ve been in the shop most of today and actually got something done! Cleaned a spot a got my five military file cabinets in and lined up! Now just have to bolt them together! These are the ball bearing type, heavy duty, now I have twenty five drawers to fill up! Won’t be hard for me!
And I found a Proto puller set I forgot I had!
    It’s been a good day!

Spent the day fabricating upper and lower shock mounts for the donor drop axle I put in my '39 Chevy coupe project.
Then painted the shiny new white gas shocks an aluminum color to better go with the rest of the pieces. Welded the uppers to the frame and rattle can gloss black. Made the lowers to bolt on with my spring U bolts.

Finished up my 2.5" exhaust system by welding on a pair of swap meet find chrome tips.

Installed the 270H head on my sons 302 GMC for bringing back our 40 Chevrolet LSR coupe for the street. Probably overkill on this one; now where did I stash that rocker system? 463F71D2-4326-4206-ABEB-400FA9809B4F.jpeg

Those are Comp Cams set at 90 psi; they are a single spring design. Mike Kirby did the head for me about 10 years ago. Cam is a cast Howard 298. The rockers will be the stock ones I used for my 20 years racing before I made my own true rollers. This was before Arias made some for the remaking of the Howard head. Joe Fontana and Don Ferguson had each made a set and so did I; all were a little different design. I still use mine on our stock head LSR roadster. I have a set of Skinners and Arias/Howard along with the 12 port heads/injectors/covers/etc.

I spent the day having brain farts. Started out to make some engine mounts in a 41 dodge pickup, small block chevy, first one, passenger side, have no idea what I was thinking, made it twice, engine fell off temp support, hook it up, realign the whole works, stare at driver side, read a magazine, stare some more, went in the house for a poop, went on the HAMB, then back outside to the shop. Measured with tape, cut steel, it went in first time perfectly, took all day to make two engine mounts.

Success! The California DMV liked my collection of paperwork, robbed me of $373 and handed me two sparkly white pieces of sheet metal and some stickers. Promised me a pink slip in the mail too.
Then I went to the chrome shop to pick up my roadster parts. Everything looked pretty good but the lakes headers - the bottom side looks fantastic but the top side didn't get the same amount of attention. This after I had them pre-polish all the parts before I welded them together. Bummer, I'll have to take them back, the plating cost too much to settle for that.
    A pretty expensive day......

Trying to organize my bolt bins,it looks like alot will be thrown in a bucket for future use or go to the scrap yard since there will be no way I could use all of them in my life time. Maybe time for a larger bolt bin.

installed a new steering wheel in the roadster and adapted a quick release steering hub made for a Toyota so a 66 yo fat balding dude can get into his 2 1/2" chopped roadster a little easier. A ton of machine 9380AEF6-0BDF-485B-B790-F28AA4BED85D.jpeg 11347618-8FA9-4172-92B4-FFDC8128BBFC.jpeg work, but thats why I have the lathe.

Limiting myself to light work to avoid residual pain, installed the new taillight gaskets and glove box liner in the Galaxie. Still have a lot of trim to straighten. Otherwise, chilling like a villain.

  30. Smoked turkey's, ate too much, helped clean up the mess, stretched out in the man killer to watch some football and slipped into a turkey comma for a couple hours watching the back of my eye lids. HRP
