All I did was corral car parts that have to go out to the garage. I have parts I forgot I even bought... gotta clear the decks for the coming Sunday horde... Last year it took me 1.5 hours to move all the Ford parts out to the garage.

Has a familiar ring to it.

Riding on the City of New Orleans
    Illinois Central Monday morning rail
Fifteen cars and fifteen restless riders
Three conductors and twenty-five sacks of mail
    All along the southbound odyssey
The train pulls out at Kankakee
Rolls along past houses, farms and fields
Passin' trains that have no names
Freight yards full of old black men
And the graveyards of the rusted automobiles

Good morning America how are you?
Don't you know me I'm your native son
I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans
I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done

Dealin' cards with the old men in the club car
Penny a point ain't no one keepin' score
Won't you pass the paper bag that holds the bottle
Feel the wheels rumblin' 'neath the floor
And the sons of Pullman porters
    And the sons of engineers
Ride their father's magic carpets made of steam
    Mothers with their babes asleep
Are rockin' to the gentle beat
And the rhythm of the rails is all they dream

Good morning America how are you?
Don't you know me I'm your native son
I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans
I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done

Nighttime on The City of New Orleans
    Changing cars in Memphis, Tennessee
Half way home, we'll be there by morning
    Through the Mississippi darkness
    Rolling down to the sea
And all the towns and people seem
To fade into a bad dream
And the steel rails still ain't heard the news
The conductor sings his song again
    The passengers will please refrain
This train's got the disappearing railroad blues

Good night, America, how are you?
Don't you know me I'm your native son
I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans
I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done

Not today, didn't finish posting this Wed for some reason. Worked on the firewall on the '33, 4" set-back,17 holes filled, & 9 more to go. Switched to F-1 hubs on the '35 for a little wider track under the fenders. Also installed some new front wheel cylinders and shoes on the '35 due to the crappy cups that come with the current rebuild kits, shoulda known better.

  7. A standard Model T radiator apron wouldn't fit so I made this and then engine turned it. The holes give airflow to the bottom 50mm of the radiator (a recored Mk2 Jag rad). Next step is to fit some mesh. Rad shell will be painted black so the decision is black mesh, chrome or anodised ally??

First time for a long time I did something. Adjusted the old Roch carb and got it running pretty desent.
Also put in Place the steering wheel column and wheel, just to realise that I´ve broken the fastening clip (what´s the real name?) that goes under dash. Also waterpump started leaking.
    So, a fun day again.

Sold some parts to a couple different CL buyers. Looked at the pile of 4 speed conversion stuff I'm supposed to be getting installed in the '61. It was 31/32 degrees for a high today so I went back in the house and helped the visiting grandkids play "Pie in the Face".

Wish I had a truck with a plow. I shoveled 350 an something ft of driveway by hand yesterday to be able to get out to go to work. First time I was snowed in in ten years.
As far as the projects they are all under a foot and something of snow.
I think I'll spend some time drawing plans for a very basic three bay garage/shop in the next few days.

Finished up the transmission tunnel on the '33, need to weld it in next. Sorted out the headlight wires on my '35 and put them in some fabric loom.
