I cut and fit the last piece of tunnel for my Falcon. Tomorrow I will weld it in, and if there is time, make the shifter access plate.

Dusted off the Merc @ 6 this morning and went to a parking lot gathering. Met some new folks and saw some new cars. Probably 60- 80 cars. Had coffee, came home and took my DP to late breakfast at a new Cracker Barrell. Good Day

Replaced the failed fuel pressure regulator on my avatar. The one that failed was one of the chrome plated round type. The replacement is a Holley type.

  6. Pulled the electric wipers from a 53 ford truck. replaced the O rings in the wand of my pressure washer. and went to my other place and chain sawed some firewood and worked on the fence.

The E-brake lever for my '35 came back from the plater, so I got it installed and hooked up. Got a new cowl handle from Drake, seems to have a stock looking satin finish; supposed to be stainless; but doesn't want to buff out, have to try more aggressive compound first, maybe. Welded up some cracks for now on my ratty front fenders. The '59came back from getting the bottom blasted and painted; hassled thru getting it off the rotisserie with a couple cherry pickers and the 4 post.

    I made this: IMG_1147.JPG

    Fit into this:

Which would be cool if the whole thing now fit the car. Which it doesn't. I kinda thought that might happen, there is a plan B...

Spent too much time on the phone with Jegs trying to substitute backordered stuff for stuff I need now. Ebay was my friend in the end.

Sat in traffic in my F100 for about 45 minutes and the 460 did not get hot so my cooling system must be working good, thought I was going to run out of gas since I only had around a 1/8 of a tank when i left work and the station at the nearest off ramp was closed for remodeling.

I rendered in CAD dual carb to 6-71 adapter plate, that allows two Edelbrock carburetors to be boost referenced, and then set all of the tools, tool paths, speeds, and feeds in the CAM program.

Don't worry, I will file the edges round and sandblast the non-sealing surfaces when I am done.

If I can get to my supplier tomorrow, I will grab a chunk of 6061.

I spent the morning with my wife. Her first day off in 10 days.
Spent the afternoon making Taiwan made grill and fenders fit original hood on a 53 Chevy truck.
My hole sander got one hell of a workout.

After work, it was another evening working on the Cadillac swap into my 57' Chev. pickup. Last night was installation of the trans. cooler. Tonight I'll start fabricating and moving the fuel line to the driver's side. IMG_2292.jpg

Picked up a piece of non automotive artwork drawn by Irma Peixotto. She designed the bronze plaque on the Lt. Thomas Selfridge memorial in Arlington, the first aviation fatality in 1908, when a gear broke on Orville Wrights plane. It will turn into car project money, just a neat find if you like history. I just got back from working offshore. Returned to a shop full of boxes I ordered while at work. Now the fun begins to finish the 47 pickup so I can sell it and get back to work on the 54.
