Replaced the missing trans mount bolt on the sunliner along with greasing the U joints which require the drive shaft to be removed, seen seat padding coming out of a hole in the frame and it only took about a hour to blow that crap out a few holes about the size of a dime.

  4. It was my turn to buy lunch at our weekly Tuesday lunch gathering at the chassis shop, I chose calzones that barely fit in the 41 cab. Also shot some primer on the firewall of the Henry J the other day and worked on the garage itself today to get ready to knock down a support wall.

I picked up a better short bed for my '57 F100 over the weekend, and built this box cart for doing bodywork on the box today. IMG_20181013_172121_061.jpg 20181016_214020.jpg

The first one I’ve had for 20 years or so. It’s had many a cheater pipe on it. Finally gave up the ghost tonight.

8:30pm all I could get was a cheap bar. That’s the second one. No cheater, just one hard pull and it’s dead.

Tomorrow I’ll have to get something better.

Roped off the area for diggers hotline boys to lay down the map of where the utilities are under the area the 22' x 80' shop addition is gonna be.

Then stood back and dreamed about the layout and where the equipment will be....

Bought a wood stove (Blaze King) for the shop and ordered the poles to build the shop. Smallish in comparison to the one Unshined 2 is dong as mine is 28x30. It's going to be a pretty simple pole building.

Lean to here too. With the idea it could be added on to on the front in the future.
I've got to tear down the old shed and then start digging.

I took out one of my failed radius arm bushings last night; seemed like it was taking forever and I was scared of cutting into the retainer ring. Got the center cut out of the other one and it was already so dark I was using my cell phone flashlight to see where I was cutting. Once I get the radius arms finished, I hope to start working on the rear of the chassis extension. Not going back too far, maybe a foot total, enough to safely hold a ten-inch diameter tank and add a spare tire mount.

hit a couple local estate sales - 1st one got set of ratchet/open end wrenches, etc worth over $50 for $10 - 2nd stop not much for me but, they have a Comet V8 Comet taking bids on, needs total redo - down the road a place with about 20 trucks setting in field - the shop/garage was big with 3 roll up doors & one big enough for RV Bus 20181018_104207.jpg 20181018_112700.jpg 20181018_112706.jpg 20181018_112722.jpg 20181018_112728.jpg 20181018_112815.jpg

Replaced the temp sending unit in the sunliner, sometimes the gauge would work and it was a newer part so I was able to find a original in my parts stash.

Typical pre-Really Busy Season activities today while trying to get the real work done. Several quote requests by email overnight and lots of phone calls, and even a ride-in Veteran with some smalls for his Harley ... I didn't get too far on the current projects though. Hopefully I'll have some Powder Porn to add here in a day or two. A prior customer showed off his Hemi (I did his intake); he owns the company who makes these EFI setups.
