What Did You Do While The HAMB Was Down

I spent a perfectly splendid sunny 80° afternoon lounging by the pool watching my beautiful wife and children laugh and splash about, then we loaded up the Kripple Kart and went for a wonderful evening meal and a couple of drinks at a very quaint village pub about half an hour's drive from us.

While all this was going on, inside my head I reprised Ray Milland's role in "the lost weekend". Man it's hard to keep smiling and conversing with all those bugs coming out of the wallpaper!

Should've turned the tv off and snuggled up next to her....

The HAMB is just one of my Jones on the Jalopy Journal. While it was down, I spent a little more time on the Garage Journal and the Jockey Journal. One thing Ryan has going for him is diversity. I'd suggest the rest of you take a look at some of his other offerings. Diversity is, after all, the spice of life.

Bought a lawn chair, some billet aluminum parts, a copy of Street Rodder magazine. Then the site came back up, and I threw it all in the garbage.

I actually got a chance to work on the '40 a little. Lowered the rear about 5", and the front about 3". Still need the front to come down a little more but I'll have to go with a drop axle to get that done. I finally put my hubcaps on. Adjusted the doors, changed the oil, getting all ready for the trip to the salt flats!

I actually had to go and be "sociable" with other people.....for about ten minutes, then went to have an intelligent conversation...with my son and wife...in the shop...as I wrenched on the car.
