    NO!
The kit was a factory sealed kit from Rostra Cruise Control Company and was the universal kit. The advertising said it included everything you needed except the switch. I guess the parts that were suppose to be in the kit that "are no longer included" even though it says they are suppose to be in the kit don't count.

Bought some 49 Ford Custom script pieces and been playing with their locations. I'm thinking about getting a rear piece of trim lay it out with the blue piece of tape IMG_20221001_162958099.jpg

KIMG1028.JPG Got my cab primed and painted. Have a few spots with some orange peel that I will need to take car of but overall it turned out pretty good .

  6. Put some paint on the '47s glove box door, it had been damaged by an angry insect when I painted the dash and steering column earlier. Those little Preval spray bottles work pretty good for small jobs.

  7. Opened the can of worms, putting a fuel cell in the trunk less Henry J, sure won't be a bolt in lol

I have a Dec. 3rd goal of getting this thing to the track. So I have a few things to do and giving it a once over after driving it this summer. All looks good, nothing loose. It had one cooler line at the trans. seeping but it tightened up so hopefully that will fix that. I have never liked the look of the gas pedal so I am making a few changes by IMG_0732 (2).JPG IMG_0736.JPG IMG_0153.JPG adding some holes to that also. I think it could stand to be leaned out a touch more but overall this thing has been trouble free.

  12. Trying to get a door to fit that was open when someone was backing the car up and hit something with the door. Did wonders for the hinges, hinge pocket and shape of the door. Also a couple door skin pieces in place now also. This would be easier if it was an overlapping door like most Model A's. At least it closes now without the forward door jam and door hitting first. Let the tweaking begin ! IMG_0716.JPG IMG_0717.JPG

I have the parts to hook my breathers into the collectors but to do a nice install would require pulling the headers, so with my track deadline approaching I took the easy way out. A couple 20 oz oil bottles and a little time should get me through tech.

  14. Cut some gaskets and mounted the lenses and bulb housing in our bumper guard lights and then noticed the "Duolamp" lettering was upside down. Guess this turned out to be just another practice assembly.

  16. Probably the closest picture of out '47 looking like car, from back in 2013 during one of the times I decided to work on it. Otherwise just random pictures of areas I have worked on here and there posted to this thread.

Keeping a eye on my pieced together motor, I went through the valves and the good news is my used cam and mixed up lifters have made it about 600 miles with no issues. The valves hold there adjustment really well and all looks good, no condensation . Now on to getting the headlights working ! DSCN2665.JPG

It is really overkill for this truck. The cooler has a 24k GVW rating and the truck weighs 3300 lbs. Depending on the application air flow across the cooler is not that important.

I have the headlight switch in place along with a dimmer switch mounted near the shifter to operate by hand. The only thing left is to get the headlight buckets shaped up and wired along with getting the adjusters working.
Everything on this truck is easy to service so that is carried over to changing the plugs or removing the left header. To get 5 and 7 plugs in and out the dip stick is in the way so I fixed it with a bracket that can be removed in about 45 seconds and you can then slide the dipstick tube out of the block making plug access a breeze. 6E42C15E-F337-4B77-A72A-E6E41B706F08.jpeg Little more seat time before winter, not that I won’t drive occasionally in winter, just not on the highway. Bit over 6000 miles since April

I got the front end wired out to the headlights, I just have to finish the plug in at the cowl after I set the front end back on . While the front end is easier to work on I am finishing up some welding and going to stich up a tear in the left fender. IMG_0749.JPG IMG_0750.JPG IMG_0751.JPG IMG_0748.JPG IMG_0752.JPG

Slowly getting things ready for winter. Put a new fuel tank on the tractor, and hauled a bunch of boxes of parts into the basement from the shed and the portable garage so I can get the ol Ford in there. Got the portable garage situated a little further away from the neighbor's fence and re-did the anchoring. I'm not chasing it again this year.
