Today I fired up the cold saw, and cut the frame pieces and control arms for my next chassis.

Now I am mopping up the excess coolant.

I do enjoy the accuracy of this saw, but it makes quite a mess.

Spent the day with friends. Food and friendship. Nothing better. 132144903_3888664984513125_1893035330463042210_o.jpg 133725611_3888666074513016_7992894448445512949_o.jpg

Today I replaced the 19-year-old water cooled torch on my TIG welder.

It is not a comforting feeling to hear the distinctive sound of your foot setting down in a puddle, when you move to the next welding position.

I permanently attached extension to the fender and bolted it on the car; onto the right side nest week.
Need to find where I have more of the sheet metal stashed.

Today I did the majority of the work to turn my drop pile into a wheel building jig.

Adding a PCV system to my 56 Ford Y-Block with the correct 64 valley cover and fitting. Won't fit the dual quad manifold hits the back so I modified it. Used my oxy/act unit. Pretty thin material. Something no one sees. Cut with 4” disc. Didn’t trust my welding on the original top trimed off. Pain in the***** for something no one will ever see..

Went to a new huge salvage yard today. Can’t show you the convertible, one year too new. But did see three totes full of 9 inch rear ends where they cut the third members out a torch! Saw a couple of early nine inch housings in there, or what was left of them. Crazy! Then stumbled on another pile of pumpkins! Had fun tho!

On my 62 Belair the last couple of days I reworked some bodywork I wasn’t happy with masked it up an sprayed it with polyester primer, and I’ve been blocking out the door drivers door. A78E1E08-6EFC-4321-946B-28B1AF02E99F.jpeg 3EF14E86-CF65-479E-899E-4988C209CA61.jpeg

My oldest son decided to take over the 57 210 9 passenger wagon. We spent some good bonding time scrapping rust and old grease! IMG_3943.JPG

Removed left rear fender and left running board- surprised how solid it is. Going to remove box and go to work on rust.

Made the r/h fender and extension one and installed it along with some more sheet metal on my '47. Brought up a new question; does the front pan go on top of the inner pan as I have it installed in the picture, or does it go under it? Looks like it could go either way. The green book doesn't show the inner pan in place.

I cooked dinner for my wife before she has to leave work for the night shift. I couldn't do what I do without her hard work and dedication. ;) :)

Figured out an air filter that would fit my Grace & Company air cleaners. I still can’t use the nice wire insert with these filters but they do flow enough air and they do filter the air! I’ve got the Wix and K&N part numbers if anyone is interested.

It was nice day, so harvested a 9" rear from a 74 Van, was able to do it with sockets, wrenches, and pliers. Nice to be able to save the u-bolts, E-brake cables, clips and all. It would make a narrow rear with big brakes and 5-1/2" bolt circle, and will reside on my roll around cart with others. IMG_6145.JPG IMG_6146.JPG IMG_6147.JPG

Today I put up more shelves in the new shop.

Then I pushed broom, mopped the entire floor, and dumped the chips from the CNC.

All work is important work. No job is too small.

Now, I am busting out the Blanton's Gold Edition, and having a birthday drink.
