Of all the millions of listings on eBay there is a photo of a pair of new roller skates on the front page of my computer, that I have listed. Guaranteeing they won't sell. Bob :confused::confused::confused:

I'm thinking there's gotta be an easier way to change drill press speeds than with a Q/C, but I can guarantee you'll be able to fling metal further than the rest of us! :D

Took 56 for 1st ride this year. Drives and sounds like a new truck, after all new window tracks, glass and door seals. Really happy! IMG_3126.JPG IMG_3126.JPG IMG_3125.JPG

27 coupe. It got painted, and then not really put back together all the way. Has a few things that need to be fixed, and some parts are missing. But it's a nice solid car, and it looks good (aside from the interior color!). And the roof has a big hole in it.

I just got up and had breakfast, but yesterday I managed to get to the car and grab the driveshaft + gearbox output yoke to take to the shop which will lengthen it after the basic setting-up of the 5sp has been fixed. Hoping to get back to the car later in the week to do more work like restructuring the cross member which on Comets/Falcons has to be cut to fit this box.

Those look like the shocks I put on my 56 F100. Did you get them from Rockauto? The ones I got I was surprised that they have no warrantee. I bought 'em anyway and seem OK.

I had a picture frame where the glass broke, damaged the print that was on the inside, too frugal to throw it out I painted the print flat black, emptied the bag of dash plaques out and viola, more garage art.

Lopped another inch off my pole cap/scoops, decided to make a go if it, so sanded out all the roughness with a DA and fired up the buffer. Tech tip: if you've dislike sanding and buffing, first spend a couple hours in the yard raking leaves and pulling weeds. Makes it almost enjoyable. 20200524_120503.jpg

Over the past few days I got the mirrors installed, new gas cap, got the exterior door handles installed and working (first time since I've owned the truck that it's had exterior handles on it), modified the roof insert to fit better and installed it, and then fired it up for the first time in about 8 weeks, took it to the car wash and sprayed off the chassis and cleaned things up. Cleaned up the huge spot of trans oil on the ground where it had been sitting, and topped off the trans with fresh oil (whenever it sits for about 3 - 4 weeks the oil in the TC slowly drains back into the pan and then finds its way out). Then parked it out on the lawn to shoot a few pics. Got Roscoe to pose for a photo. DSC_3861small.jpg DSC_3871small.jpg

So Greg, whats up with the gas filler spot? I had a couple of 55- 56 Ford F100s. My 56 had the gas filler
up high on the body to accommodate the behind the seat gas tank. The earlier models had the under body
    tank location.

Took apart a 93 year old carb...and found the plugged hole, so maybe it'll work when I put it back on.

Went and picked up what was thought to be the torque converter for the 62 Galaxie COM I got a couple weeks ago,its definately for a Ford and the pilot fits the Y block crank but non of the splines match up and its not a 3 bolt converter for the 2 speed. I need to order the correct 4 bolt flywheel(I have the 3 bolt version) and if it fits and if we still have a converter rebuilder in town I will take it with the 67 converter that fits but has a smaller pilot and have them make me one from the two.

  29. Man I love that setup. I wish they had not become so expensive.
Me...I did nothing car related yet.
I gave blood at the Memorial Day blood drive. The lady that took my info was so pretty that my blood pressure was almost too high..;)
