What I got done? Absolutely nothing. Between waiting for the phone to ring from some as*hole that made and offer then didn't follow thru on a car I have for sale; to wondering if Dirty-T will show up, I had an unproductive weekend.

If Dirty-T would stop by, & like my truck, and buy it, I would be able to move some stuff around and do some work...Come on Dirty, it's a killer deal!!!!!!!!

BTW, for everyone else, it needs engine work (305), a lot of costly stuff has already been repaced. HAMBer price is $1000 cash.

    BRIAN: CALL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Hey Mark, that's some cool stuff you have there for the big Olds. Can't wait to see it in your roadster and hear the rumble. Should be a real torque monster! :D

Drilled an axle for Sumo and played with my sedan while cleaning the garage. I've put it off for long enough and hope to have it done this winter.

Fixed the shift linkage. Finally got the beast back on the road but it was too hot outside to drive it today. Maybe tomorrow evening.

I drove up to Vegas, went to a bitchin birthday party, and hauled home a 292 chevy 6 and a 402 short block. And found a 331 hemi and a 354 hemi and saw a neat early 30s Chrysler roadster that's almost done.

didn't get enough done, but at least I got my gauge panel all done up for my Chevy. :D
Bought it off of e-gay but it looked a little too billet for me. Painted the center satin black and I'm going to polish the outside edge a little more.

not much, wrenched on the wagon, installed a ceiling fan in the garage to help reduce some of the heat and then spent some time cleaning it up

Spent all weekend helping my son put the rear shock mounts on his Model-A sedan and finishing the bodywork on the left rear quarter panel on my coupe. I started there because it was the roughest part of the body. Now I need to do the other quarter, then the roof, then the decklid, then the cowl sides, and then the doors. It will be easy after that...

Got my mini bike rideable. Played with my daughter. Walked the air conditioned mall. All in all, got nothing car-related done.

Went parts shopping. Ended up with 59A flathead motor ('47 Mercury) @ $200, '34 Ford front axle and wishbone @ $50, and an aluminum aircraft seat @ $56. Wish I could find deals like this more often.

I didn't do much car-related on Saturday other than buy some small parts for the front suspension (too hot), then Sunday decided I needed to work in that garage some. My wife had the great idea for me to actually turn the ac on in the garage and after that it was noce working out there. Didn't get much done other than reaming out the reversed eyes on the A front spring so that the bushings would fit.

I welded and hammered all weekend... Damn did it feel good, save for the gawd-awfull heat. I completed the 'botched chop' sail patch panels and am starting to fab the window patches...

    Here are a few shots....

What parts did you use on that 283? I'll be doing one in the spring with .030 bore, powerpack heads, forged crank, Scat I-beam rods, forged pistons, a Comp Cams nostalgia grind cam, and Offenhauser 3x2 intake w/three 97s.

  29. GF had this done, so I stayed in the house all weekend taking care of her, left me plenty of time to get in trouble on the HAMB. and spent a few hours in photoshop drawing this:

I also stripped out my giagundous Jesse James '54 and started it's candy red paint job.
