ok, its a bit early, but I got my weekend project done already.

I was tired of looking at my rusty old mower, and the thing runs way to well to buy a new one. So, I got the spray paint out.

its my first time to lay out and paint flames, so I didn't think they turned out all to bad for a first timer. and its really not bad comsidering I got under $20 in the whole paint job.

What did you get done this weekend?

Finally I can post on this thread. I spent the weekend restoring my old Philco fridge. Got it completely dis***embled, sandblasted, and fixed all the rust holes on the bottom 6 inches. I'm knocking out a couple of dents, and doing some Bondo work during the Nascar race today, and hopefully getting it primed and ready for paint this afternoon. I'll post some pics when I get it back together.

Headed to Billetproof saturday, between the sunburn, the cars, the friends, the beer, and the rain, it was a great time, probably the best one yet. Today it has been raining all day, so not much going today.

BTW- glad you and your wife are fine jusjunk

Finished hanging the rear fenders on the Bantam after deciding they looked straight, adjusted the rear end position 3/8" to the right, and welded the door frames to their hinge mounts. I also removed the headers for a quick sandblast and new paint.

Got my engine back in the roadster. Fired her up about noon today. My pants got so tight, I had to take a cold shower.

yesterday went yard sale'n with the old lady
sagged this electric hoist and nifty dwell meter
hoist growls a bit, hopefuly it only needs brushes
    haven't tried the meter yet..

today went through the Ford tailed Lasalle, looks good inside, only needed a couple small parts..
and put together another '50 style long tail with the last of the good parts from the pile...

Got the Edsel to fire up for the first time in 30 years.

It was pretty cool seeing my Dad and my son working together with steel wool and chrome polish.

I got a mouthful of really nasty 30 year old gas too. It's a lot more bitter tasting than fresh gas.

The fuel line is hopelessly plugged- it wouldn't clear with 100 psi of air in it. Any suggestions?

Got a buddy whose late model truck has been at my house for what he thought was gonna be a 'simple' engine swap. Here six weeks later, we finally got the motor/trans back in it. Should have it running and outta my way next weekend. This guy didn't have a clue about swapping engines so I ended up teaching him as we went and I'm a novice on a good day. I was suppose to be helping him and I'm the one doing most of the work, both physically and on the phone tracking down parts.

Anyway, I did get my new skinny front tires mounted and the new tires on my newly painted rims and hung on the coupe. New rubber from Cody is due next week and the rear rims are patiently waiting... She'll be driveable at that point! Look out!

t-town, you mower is *****in... just needs a pinstriped outline to finish it off.

Vance, thats next on my to do list. Was my first time to lay or paint flames, and I figure if they are that easy, I sure should be able to stripe them.

The stone wall reached the 6 foot level, but I ran out of sand so the cement mixing came to a stop. Nice to finally block out the nextdoor yuppies lamp post lights tha stay on all night long. :) If you look close on the left you'll see the back half of a '32 frame.
