Drove the old truck saturday night, had to check out new cruise night, and did some supervising at a buddies house. All vehicle builds need atleast one supervisor, if for nothing else, to make sure the beer gets drank.
got alot of yard work done yesterday. washed and cleaned the 59 in the AM before it got to hot. looked at the garage a few times maybe ill get in there and clean that if it cools down
Set my 62 C10 front cab mounts up and drilled the cab floor for the closer spacing due to the 66 C10 chassis I'm using. Cleaned the garage up some more. Had a sinus attack too. Lovely pollen!
cleaned up the shop, then made a mess cutting off the tank mounts on my e-bay motorcycle gas tank, so I can mount the tank differently.
...bought a pre-war bicycle at an auction for $1.00 and got a free mini-bike, ....both need work, but can't beat the price.
I sanded some bondo for an hour this morning and then my wife caught me and kicked me out of the living room. Been moping around ever since. Be glad when the weekend gets here......wait a minute
All day Sat doing heavy yard work. All day Sun reorganizing the shop. Tonight.....Motrin and Wild Turkey. Tomorrow...back in the yard. Showing the place to a potential buyer Tuesday.
Not much unfortunately. Setup our vendor booth at a local festival and spend the weekend trying to make a few bucks. Got home Saturday night and the 39-41 axle, wishbones and spring I bought from Mike B had arrived (Thanks Mike!), as well as my new smoothie wheels and center caps from Total Performance. Now if my '26 Dodge cowl would ever get here I can go for a ride. Well, maybe not but I can pretend to ride.... LOL
I spent all weekend working on my Desoto. I've been rebuilding/painting from the intake manifold up. I cant believe this thing actually ran. God I wish I had a media blaster. All pics http://vorhese.com/gallery/album265 I also have been working on my motorcycles and 49 F1. Looks like I'll be doing a clutch job on the F1 soon
Went to rod run with Druss Sat. Sunday was going to work on windshield but the post I got fri dont fit.Thats Hotrodding
got to the Vallejo swap at about 7:00 this AM, left Vallejo about 8:00 and went up to the Sacramento swap. got home and took a big nap with the AC on.
Went wakeboarding. Finished removing and cutting up the body on the frame donor for my 52 Dodge (an 89 blazer). Lots of yard work as always
Thursday night My apprentice and I made a bracket to mount the shifter in the '46 (first time I've touched it since Billetproof, I was kinda hoping the would be enough room to sink the shifter into the floor, but no dice). Friday, went and saw what was left of Rare Earth at a free concert on the water, Saturday and part of Sunday, I made all new curtains for my Marshmallow ('78 Burro) camper. Now I'm playing on the computer and watching belly dancing aerobicizing on Fit TV... I need a life.
how did your blaster work? im thinking about building one like it i think my compressor should keep up, but you never know.
I changed the front axle joint on my daily - jeep cherokee. It's still clunking, I think I detonated the front diff.

Mostly sitting on my ass reading Hokey ass message board... Time for Top Fuel from Atlanta now..gotta go.....
Warmed up enough over a weekend I was home, so I spent Saturday cleaning up the winter mess/disorganization in the garage, then spent Sunday completing the install of some new spindles in the stude while the kids buzzed around the garage with me. Good times!
Vorhese, that Desoto is badass. Road trip to a wedding on Saturday, just me and the wifey, we talked about our feelings.....Sunday, threw a birthday party for my stepmom and took my brothers for a ride in the Roadking, carb issues almost had us pushing her back home......all in all, A1 weekend.
Saturday, after overcoming a fuel related problem or two, I finally got the '39 started. After a couple of phone calls and some advice from friends, I got the carb adjusted so now it's starts and idles. After all these years since the wreck, it feels really good to know it moves on it's own once again. Today, I spent working out a couple of wrinkles in the roof, (Re:Flamedabone's photo above) and blocked out the last few places on the body, now ready for another coat of primer. I hurt all over - it sucks gettin' old. J.
