Vacuumed the whole house..................seriously. The wife is toughing out the wait for back surgery and I'm trying to take some of the load off her. She is relinquishing her domain grudgingly but admitted it was nice not to have her back hurt so much this weekend. I could NEVER do as much for her as she has done for me. Shhhhhhh!!, wouldn't want her to hear that.:)

As the Buick's slowly getting dis***embled, I took the Vespa to the Vintage M/C (seems that both the sickels and their owners fit the term, these days!), a 30+ mile round trip on surface streets (what's the rush?).

Been looking at oddball rides that could make a cool custom/kustom while I restore the '64... The one that's caught my attention at the mo' is a J-series Vauxhall sedan that looks a lot like American GM products from the late '30s (I dig the La Salle inspired grille...) that with some lowering and fender skirs might just do the trick.

We worked on the 50 Merc flathead this weekend, my son has named it 'Doc'. Went from the stock intake and 2 bbl Holley to an Edmunds 2x2 with 2 97's. We got lucky and the merc fired right up and needed very little tuning. Sure runs better and looks good too. Here are some before and after pics.

Got my 51 chev fourdoor parts car unloaded and decided to see if it would run. Installed new six volt battery, hotwired it and dumped gas down the carb and she fired. After a few adjustments, some antifreeze and gas, my son and i went for a test drive. Drove really good for a car I was going to part out...the radio even works. So we threw the fender skirts that I found for the future ragtop on the fourdoor and started cleaning it up. Looks like I gotta find another parts car for the ragtop project....Also drilled anchor holes for my newly installed used hoist...a good weekend....finally warming up here in NorDakoda....

Road tested the kids go-cart about a mile on saturday, put a new center section in a customers 32 so they could go to the show sunday, went to that show, went to my mom's 75th birthday party, and sat in the jacuzzi until 5 minutes ago.

    Carb tunning:
I managed to make my 2x2 Carter BBD (secondary carb) set up act like a cross between a AVS and a Holley Vacuum Secondary. PM me if you are interested. Throttle respons is now like a single 4bbl instead of a 2x2 2bbl

Sold a bunch of stuff for the coupe body fund, set the valves on the 28 and cleaned the sludge out of the rearend. Nothing glamorous. Oh, and my mother-in-law is here for another week. Proper motivation to get out of the house and into the garage.

Started tearing the front end off to prep for engine and engine bay makeover. Gonna get the motor all painted and spiffed up, and install my dual carb and dual exhaust setup.

The g***er look is just killing me...invisible .

I worked on my non-Hamb CHP car, NOS replacement dash parts & switches. I did get to watch my neighbor & his buddies bounce around like pin balls after consuming m*** quanities. They always seem to start projects & never finish.

I had an awesome weekend.... In these ****'n awesome times right now my wife is working her *** off every weekend so me and the little little dude need to p*** the time....

Saturday we ****ed around and did a few thing with the roadster but Max is pretty sick with a cold right now so we just laid low...

But Today!!! We decided to repaint his cool little push car! He got to learn about taking the car apart, block sanding the thing, priming it, and finally painting it! We put it back together this afternoon once his nap was done then hauled *** down the sidewalk for some outlaw fun....

    My kid ****'n rocks...

    *****in Day....

    Here's some pics.

Done some fine tuning on the T-Bucket. installed some VDO gauges and made a bracket and converted the stop light switch from a pressure switch to a mechanical switch.

The weather was beautiful here but just like every other weekend in Fresno theres nowhere to go and nothing to do. I stayed home and thought about how cool it would be to win the lottery so I could afford to move back to Orange County.

Threaded from both side just because I thought it might be easier to get in and out... and I like to have options!

Then made a bracket and mounted my trans cooler.

I know it's not cool to run a slush box but its what I got.

I built a snow fort with my daughter. It was more work than we thought, so we took turns going outside of it and attacking the other instead of making a second fort.

  27. Finished painting my '54 Vicky.
    Let the ***embly begin!!

I stripped my 350 down so it can go to the machine shop and started pulling the 64C10 cab apart for some rust repair. A lot of rust repair.

  30. I got the front suspension about half torn down on the mechanics coupe. Then I ran out of steam. I'll probably finish ripping it out tonight.
With any luck at all I could be putting it back together in the next week or two.
