finally finished cleaning out my garage, so theres room for a progect. still hunting for a model a coupe. john
Started my rebuilt 331 hemi for the first time. Ran great, no leaks! But I don't know if the stock '36 radiator is up to the task.
looks like allot of shit got done this weekend .... i got to take my wife for a ride in my olds yesterday that was her first ride in it ... she loved it and so did I.....
Put in a new fuel tank, new fuel line. Replaced the wheel cylinders in my rear brakes, started on running all new brake lines, and got started on my front discs....then my 5 year old wanted daddy to come home for bedtime........oh well, one side is done on the frontend, the other side will take less time now that I've gotten it figured out.
I was able to complete the two tone paint job on my Apache and begin assembly with the help of a few friends. With only 10 days left until the Roundup, I still have a bit of work to do. I'm really excited about taking a car to the Roundup for the first time in the 5 years I've been going to these events.
I got my econoline running again. Runs like a champ. Now I just need to get the brakes bled and driveshaft back in so I can take it for a spin. Oh and I worked out a trade for a 1951 Ford 2 door shoebox. Just need to setup the shipping and get it from OH to AZ. Later, Chad
Dropped the body on the frame, took 4 leaves out of the rear spring and tried on some taller wheels & tyres
No-sorry I don't have any pic's and I promised another hamber I would post pic's too! I'm bunk! Your A has alot in common with mine-GM rear end and all-it looks killer. I had the body complete so my way of channeling is pretty much learn as I go.
Put a new water pump on, new starter solenoid on, and a new thermostat. Discovered my pulley on my alternator is broken, new water pump leaks, and found a broken transmission mount!
i would so come down to help but we need a house for everyone for the show that weekend .. you know its on when we move down there .... shit will get done
The chop begins: Never chopping before, and me learning sheet metal the day has been inspiring. The marking off seamed the most taxing, 2nd guessing yourself, standing back eyeballing, and then the Goatboy grabbed the blades and wheels and we went to town on it. Very pleased with how it's coming along, and the best part, getting together and working with a friend, that's the best part!!!! The pieces are just layed in place in these pics to mock the re-assembly, the door tops are not in the pics.
