Fixed the boys 62 Jeep with F134 after doing a compression test - set the timing dropped in some new plugs and all is good.

Realized that NAPA does employ some complete morons, had to show the old guy how book cross reference a Champion RJ8C to a plug that he had in stock [IMG] Where do they find these guys?

Got some more work done on the old car trailer, soon as i get it done i can go get my donor car [IMG]

ripped up old carpet in extra bedroom to reveal perfect polished oak flooring...pulled all the staples, painted the room and cleaned up huge paint spill mess in garage. Spent late Sunday nite snuggling with the missus on the couch, watching tv...

Saturday I went to a small swap meet and bought a Muncie M-20 4spd out of a '63 Corvette. Pretty rare piece, it's a '63 only transmission...it's going in my shoebox to replace the Saginaw. (I'm on my third Saginaw and I'm getting tired of breaking them)

Sunday I finished up some signature flames that I started last weekend on a '40 coupe. The wheels in the pic will be replaced with steelies and wide whites.

Here is right after I sprayed it and removed the tape:

  11. Went to the post office Saturday morning, left Saturday afternoon.

Cleaned barn for about 4 hours, swept up fertilizer, shredded paper, rat shit and rat fur. found a rusty old 4 drawer file cabinet, will become the new magazine library. wired up the stereo speakers.

Christmas shopping done for sister, nephew, and all the my workmates (I work with 13 women, this stuff is VERY important to them). Got me one of them R/C Harley Fatboys from Kmart, don't bother, by the time the thing gets up on two wheels, it's out of range and you can't steer it. and it stops.

Sunday, put together 13 gifts for work women, drank beer, watched the Bucs win sloppily. Ate Chinese, went to bed early.

P.S. found a bunch of the Tiawanese tools I bought at BigLots a while back, put them all in the toolbox for the move.

  12. Saturday the snow collapsed the tent over the F Truck. So I dug about a gazillion pounds of ice and snow off the roof of the truck. Used a 3" lakes pipe to hold the tent up.
I was wondering how I was going to use 'em. [IMG]
Sunday I repaired the alt off the galaxie, it charging again [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
All in all just your basic weekend.
OH yea I tried to trade my go and bring 'em back truck. No, luck.

  15. I was going to spend an hour or so and tape of a checkerboard on my firewall.Next time I see one on someone elses car I'll be sure to comment on what a nice job it is. So my hour or so started Sat morning at 9:30 and at 2:00 I got into the stripe straitner (Jack Dannils) I went in for Dinner at 8:00 and returned at 8:15. Gave in at 2:30 A.M. knowing I'd be done in another hour or so. Up at 7:30 ( Damn phone ) back at it at 8:15 Sun morning. I finally said Good enough at 4:30. Next time you see a strait line over a hump around a curve and accross a dip, understand it was no easy task.

Made patterns for a hammerform for a splash pan for the back of my Chevy, between the body and the Caddy bumper. Cut the wood, & steel, and hammered it out. Trial fit on Sunday, gotta make adjustments. Painted a set of wheels for someone, and painted a 'chassis' and engine cover for a customized Go-Ped in Orange Pearl, for a buddy of mine.

Worked in the engine bay on my comet and painted a bunch of stuff. If you want some cheap primer, go to walmart and get rustoleom rusty metal primer and some paint thinner and you can get a quart of primer and a gallon of reducer for 7 bucks!! It sprayed awesome out of my gun too, You only have to reduce 1/5 th to spray good. Cheap way to go!! Nate

Hit a major milestone in the reconstruction of the 39. I finished welding in the floor pans/ rockers/inner rockers/body mounts and trans tunnel. Yes they were all rotted away!!. I finally got to cut out the temp. bracing strung all over the damn interior. What a roomy interior!!
I was hollerin' as I was cuttin them out and the wife thought I was out of my tree. I knew you guys would understand. The door gaps look good, nothing moved. Bitchin'!!!

It finally rained here in SoCal and I found out that there was a gap in my windshield rubber right under the passenger side wiper on my '60 F-100. Every time the wiper pushed the water down to the bottom of the windshield it would go into the hole in the rubber and blow onto my passenger. After a 30-minute drive on the freeway (would have been shorter if I wouldn't have had to pull over because I was laughing so hard!) I dried everything off and filled the offending hole with RTV. I should have left it open strictly for the comedy factor!

Sat: Slept, got up, went to the junkyard for anything that could be used on the 52, yanked out a flasher unit, went home, installed flaser plug, now have working blinkers, pulled my drums off, inspected the brakes, learned why stopping was a gift from god everytime my pedal went straight to the floorboard, had dinner, drank rum, and watched some campy ass 50s B-Horror movie. Passed out.

Sun: Slept, got up, got donuts, ate donuts, drank coffee, jacked up the 52, adjusted and bled all the brakes, went for test drive, forgot brakes were now fixed, almost flew through windshield, realized it was raining, realized windshield wiper motor had a vacuum leak and wouldn't work if it were hooked up to a top fuel rail, got home, thanked god I didn't die, ate lunch, saw Last Samuari, went home, drank more Rum, watched A Christmas Story, passed out.

Drove my new '64 Buick Wildcat home from out of town. It works so nice that I almost hate to take the 401 and ST 400 out of it to put in my Model A. Laid some rubber on the way home.
