Yeah, I know, its only Saturday..But I did manage to get some things done. 1) Found a place that sells Rolls and pleats, Garage, wrench, CK Deluxe, Baracuda, and just about anything else. Not far from home either.. 2) Right down the street is a place that sells One Shot! 3) Found another local guy that sells Triumph parts (He had a triple tree/neck bolt for my springer front end.. AND an NOS '63 Pre-Unit Triumph back fender. Bought a few things from him.. Started putting some ideas I had for the bike into motion. It was a good day.. Spike
(Trailer Ed oughta enjoy this....) Got the potty room in the box trailer about done, light installed etc. There's a piece of billet in there too. Now if I could just find that GD gold chain....
Hey Spike! Did you mail those mags to me? Or was I supposed to get back to ya? BTW, I got nothing done today and it was good.
me and hex went out for a drive and found a shitload of old cars tucked away, let`s see..i saw 2 53/4 chevys, 3 1960 caddys, 1 57 caddy,4 57 chevys and that`s just a small sample

christmas shopping for the girls, went to every place I could think of, Sears- tool dept., Home Depot- tool dept., Harbor Freight, the local speed shop, the local auto body supply store, the local micro brewery, Didn't find anything for them but I did find some stuff I didn't even know I needed I'll have to try again tomorrow
Not much, I took all the garnish mouldings out of my 51 Chevy HT, I'm sending them out to get chromed after the holidays. Billy

Got day plates to take car to "aircare" inspection (failed 3 times already) Put plates on and backed car up to see leaking fuel line going into tank go to parts store Cut fuel line and realize I forgot to get the other parts i needed.... Long story short, I passed aircare. Derrick
i started stripping the 50 down last night and all day today..didnt find any suprises, which is cool. but made a mess of the entire garage.. this is what was left of 50 + years of paint..only one repaint since the original..and that was my reward afterwards!
Just came in from shooting a gun full of 3 part primer on my track roadster p/u body and the back side of some '35 wires for a pals modified. A good day...coffee with some pals in the morning, lunch with some pals, phone consultation on the modified, primer, relax on the web...a good day. Charlie
The '63 NOS back fender was the best find..Kinda looks like a '36 Ford spare tire cover with that nice round ridge going down the center, but the Ford's sides don't cover like I want them to. The '63 Triumph's rear fender fits perfectly over the wide white 140 tire. Really fills the space well. I actually brought the rolling frame with me to the guy's house so I could eyeball up everything. Sadly, most of his chopper stuff had been sold off. I almost gave up on the springer front end because I lost the castle nut that holds it on. This guy had another one. Yeah..I'm happy. Spike
1) Painted my f-1 seat frame so I can drop it off to be recovered; 2) Sold my Willys Jeep - I've now got some $$ and an open spot - it's party time! I'm due to buy a rusty shit-ball 3) Tomorrow, I'll match patches for the enormous holes in my truck's firewall and continue welding in the floor.
Started working up a business plan for a diner. Just to see how much it would cost to get one going. Damn I'm on winter break and I'm crunching numbers again.
Did someone mention diner? Here's mine. I've been working on it most every nite and weekend for several week, trying to prepare it for a couple of family Christmas'. It's as done as it's gonna get for now, the wife's family is coming tomarrow.
not much.. actually thanks to some help from tokyo my chassis is finally nearing compleation.. I have GOT to get the exhaust finished after the 25th so I can paint this damn thing and reclaim one of my 2 precious bays... a shot overall
heres a photo of the rear crossmember tokyo helped me with and the 33 gal fuel tank I picked up for the car.. we mounted the fuel tank on top of the crossmembers so that it wouldnt be seen from the rear of the car.. when I build the floor for the rear section of the car I will make it removeable so that the tank can be removed when necessary.. fwiw I took a lesson from lulabelle and used 4x4 square tubing for the rear crossmember.. and of course later I will install the hitch to this crossmember as well
last but not least.. this is the reason you should ALWAYS set the ride height up BEFORE any other work.. this is a photo of the repaired x member the previous owner TORCHED this area out because he was using the stock rear springs in the car and needed clearance for the driveshaft.. at any rate I spent alot of time fixing this area and reinforcing it.. I guess this is what I been doin the last 2 weekends
Finished building the Y pipes to hook up the exhaust dumps on the stude. Built some tips to run when there open. They came out bitchin. Good gas welding practice!
Finished hanging my latest piece of hot rod art in the old Who Daky hot rod hangout. A tech drawing of a '32 roadster quarter from the Kiwi Konnection via good friend Les Moran. Rest of the weekend was spend redoing the messed up firewall on the deuce tudor I bought earlier in the year.
Not strictly the weekends work, but a pic of what I've been putting right the last couple of days. You can see the pigeon hole I have to work in. Still, some guys have to build outside in the UK! The roof is actually going on already, more pics to follow soon. Paul ps. Sorry it's back to front, and shitty quality, kind of an after and before shot
I tuned up my parts runner Ranchero, went and brought home a bunch of parts out of storage and we finally put the Christmas tree up.
Got my cylender heads FINALLY installed and torqued down... I have 3 day weekends and could only budget 1.5 hours to car stuff... Xmas day is WIDE open tho! Damn truck may run by the end of the year.
