I know this post is a little late unless some one already posted it but. What did you save in 2017?

  5. Here is everything I bought in 17 pretty much in order. Obviously the year of the fridge truck. Hopefully 2018 doesn’t disappoint

I have a more modest accomplishment. After trying to purchase some small-base 2GC cores from several sources and seeing the asking prices, I dug through the pile of spare parts I had accumulated and was able to come up with a complete unit I could identify by the number stamped on the bowl and rebuilt it.

Looks like you've got the market cornered on '57-'59 Ford trucks! You PNW guys have it made. Still a lot of great finds out there in the boonies (no offense) for next to nothing! Maybe I'll move up north!

  14. Well, I don't live in the boonies, I live right in town and how do you know what I paid hahaha! Some stuff I got cheap, other stuff I paid up for. I the end, it's a wash. I am doing two 59 F-100's...one short box I lowered and one long box 4x4. They are JUST cheap enough still that it makes it REALLY easy to drag home and upgrade. I will have two 57-60 F-100's for sale in the near future.

  15. I'm sure my real neighbors would trade you!

Actually, I keep my place looking pretty tidy...and I have cool neighbors and a bitchin wife all whom don't really care. And if I don't plan on keeping it, I don't keep it around. A couple of the 57-60 pickups, I keep up north at my grandmothers property

I figured it would be cool as hell just to be close enough to lend a hand and turn a wrench on occasion on some of your projects!

    Chris when do you sleep??

  18. With a 3 year old and a 10 month old....not enough

  19. Chris, some real nice finds there!
    Love the 33-34.
The pictures show the work of a pretty die hard Ford guy.
    Keep up the good work.
That sure is a whole lot of second gen. F100's!
Any special plans for them or do you flip them, maybe part them out?
I've been looking for a front axle from one of these, apparently they fit on the first gen.(53-56)allowing them to sit a little lower.

  21. I started out wanting just one 57-60 short bed pickup. Bought one, then a nicer one, then a parts one, then a runner/driver...
I had a pretty nice 58 F-600 that ran and drove and I was trying to sell it, and a guy offered to trade me a pretty nice 59 F-100 for it. I knew where a 60 4x4 was with a rough body for pretty much scrap price. So my plan was to combine the two. But then found the last picture, a really nice 59 big back window, so bought it with plans to put the 4x4 running gear under it. I just bought it last week, it's not even here yet.

So...I plan on keeping the dark blue and white 59, and combine the flat black 60 4x4 with the light green and white 59. The red and white 60 short bed big window, and rougher looking red and white 59 long bed will be sold. Any others pictured are already gone.

Like I said, these things are still cheap enough, that they are pretty easy to drag home when you are weak like myself. I love those trucks, I've had one as a driver for nearly 20 years. I've owned a lot of them

And yes, installing a 57-60 F-100 axle will lower a 53-56 1". so, if you have the axle dropped 3", it will lower a 53-56 4" over stock.

I "saved" a Studebaker. Actually the prior owner bought it out of Minnesota, his dad asked him why he did it:) He had plenty of Studebakers, a couple of Hawks with the standard "see through floor" as well as three of the 53/54 variety. He has a 50's era Studebaker truck mounted on a 80's era 4x4 chassis that has been on several Power Tours. The chassis pictured will go under one of the coupes he has. I bought the roughest of the bunch, and it got rougher as I tore into it. It gives me a reason to head to the shop every day:) IMG_0597.JPG IMG_0598.JPG

  27. No one else?

  28. I sold three vehicles and about a $1000 worth of parts.bought another M Farmall that make,s 6 in the collection. Bought three ot trucks a 76 chevy a 74 ford 4 wheel drive and a 86 chevy 3/4. sold the Ford for more than I paid for all three. Bought a ot junk 98 jeep Cherokee. Bought a 1940 D4 Caterpillar. Bought two U 4 Farmall power units. Bought a truckload of M farmall parts. The only really old thing I bought was a truck frame trailer for $25 old truck frame trailer 005.JPG that the Hamb consensus is a 38 international. I pretty much broke even.

  29. Old wolf,

I just picked up a '35 Farmall F12- hoping to surprise my dad with it this summer (he grew up on a farm in West Chester, PA with an F12)! Going through carb this weekend, then have to find 11.2x38 tires that DON'T cost an arm and a leg
