Finished my 59 GMC, that was bought in 2001. Before that it sat in a Texas junkyard for 10 - 15 years.

Bought a very solid 41 Pontiac project car, and have been collecting a few parts for it.

Blew the rear end up in my 55 at The Meltdown Drags. Temporarily, put the 4:56 open center section back in, and am rebuilding the 4:88 posi, over the winter.

The 34 Chevy is still on hold.

As is the 55 Chevy Cameo pickup. Yeah.....The GMC was bought as a parts truck for the Cameo, and was finished first. LOL.

I purchased this 57' 300 sedan in April. It's a 351 Windsor with a C-4. I replaced the timing set, fuel pump, windshield, hoses, belts and cleaned up the wiring. I added an HEI distributor and proceeded to drive it everywhere. I've wanted one of these since High School. This picture was taken by Malcolm at the HAMB DRAGS. -27.jpg

I got some paint on my 29 Faux'dster beater rod, and got it road worthy:

I finally got ahold of a barn find I've known about for about 7 years, a 34 Ford RPU ( Open Cab Pickup technically) body and chassis, sans bed:

And I got the 8BA that's going in it rebuilt:

Busy year....not to mention the biggest event of all; I delivered my third child on my own (of course the wife was there ;) ) in the hospital bathroom because the RN botched things up good! I'm done acquiring those...KIDS, I mean kids.

Man where to start. Bought a '26 T Tudor body for a long running t based project that needed a body. Bought a '57 283 short block for said T, and started freshening it up, then got sick as hell, so stopped, gotta get back on that. Decided that we would renovate our other house, and eventually move there. Gotta build a second, BIG shop on that property. Bought out the tools from a local panel beater that is retiring. Bought a bunch of the parts that I need to finish my '39. Finally got my T bucket body picked up from kiwi tinbender. There's a lot more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Oh yea, decided to keep my '67 falcon and build a fake Boss 351 for it, scored some used TRW forged flat tops on polished shot preened rods for it for CHEAP, bought a set of Manley 2.19's for it for $30!, bought a torker for cheap, gears, Yada, Yada Yada....

Thinned out some speed equipment, hot rod parts and Deuce stuff at the Iron Invasion Oct. 1st. Odd thing was about 90% of the buyers were what I'd consider grey beards. Makes me wonder where the younger crowd buys their stuff.

    sold this one

did a ton of metalwork and rough in bodywork on this one

there's a light at the end of the tunnel on this long-term OT project

got the chassis disassembled, powder coated and re assembled on an OT 76 earl camino. yes a 76 uggg.

and fixed and repainted my dad's F150 lightning after I wrecked it...erps.

built 4 pinewood derby cars and..

piddled around on my avatar just enough to make myself feel better about renting a shop so that I could work on it, but spending most of my free time on other people's projects.

maybe I'll get something accomplished next year, cause I feel like I haven't gotten enough done this year.

I finally got this running driving tagged... needs tires and the dual point Mallory gone through...

    IMG_1482473736.813446.jpg

Also got the 1929 Deluxe roadster removed from its original dual side mount chassis and onto a '32 frame...

    IMG_1482473851.447685.jpg

Collecting non-running crap is fun but I'm hoping 2017 brings me two old cars I can enjoy driving! :)

Sold a very solid 41 Pontiac to Torkwrench. Bought a new dash pad for my 63 1/2 Galaxie and got it painted. Still not installed, though. You can see it sitting on the roof.

  21. I'm glad you guys had such a good year! For whatever reason, my business has kinda been tanking, so I have to work more and more to bring in enough $$$. (even though the overall economy has been improving). I turned my woodshop into a Co-op during the recession, and some of the other guys/gals are doing great, so clearly I'm losing my edge, oh well.

Also, I'm sure you guys would confirm this, as my kids are getting older, (8 and 10), almost all of my non-work time is all about: helping with homework, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little League, events, events. I'm really happy to be part of it all, don't get me wrong.

The only thing I accomplished in 2016 (solely for myself), was to buy all the bits to get a '55 Cad dual quad working on my 390. Took a lot of work to get the Rochesters singing, but they work great now IMG_1482498237.265759.jpg

If you feel more people working at multiple part-time minimum wage jobs, and the derivitives powered stock market climbing means that the economy is improving, then yes, I'd say the economy is "improving".:D Otherwise, ummmm, maybe not so much...

  23. Sold this to a HAMBer. And then bought more stuff, a vicious cycle continues.:D WIN_20160212_115138.JPG

Ha ha. I told my wife I was going to the swap in Langley to sell some stuff. I was true to my word, sold a pair of Desoto valve covers. Came home with a pair of Super Coils, a pair of AFB's, an Ansen cast sbc scattershield, intake valves for my Cleveland, a shifter, a drop-out 8.2 3.70 posi, an air cleaner lid, a 15x5.5 early ford wheel, and a stack of old magazines!
