Made a little progress on the A coupe on 32 rails. Did the mini channel on the front, fit the body to the frame and built the new rear body sub-rails. Have to weld those in. Also rebuilt a carb for the 31 pick-up and recovered the front seat. rear subrail.jpg

Sold my last o/t Pantera because my sister finally kicked it out of her garage - only to find out she wasn't serious. Now I still some extra parts to sell since I don't think I need another one. Then I picked up this 32 pickup and got it back on the road after being taken apart 40 years ago. Of course I didn't have time or space for it.

Then I just got home from a 5100 mile trip to pick up this. Did I mention I didn't have time or space for the last one...... same goes for this one . I think I need some anti-rusty car medicine or something [IMG][IMG]

I finally got my plan in action this year.During this summer etc I bought things to resell along with stuff for artwork etc. When I was told I had a Hershey spot, the plan went into overdrive. So loaded up when it came time and spent the week seeing thing through.
The plan involved making enough money to pay for my 303 to get rebuilt.Made enough and then some.Along the way Id sell off other items and that paid for the carbs to be done up.Things paid for more equipment and tools. I even saved two coffee cans of change and thats enough dough to pay for the distributor setup from Ross. I really like wheeling and dealing to get things done, its alot of fun.The T-bird is still out back. Not sure if that buy will stay long enough for me to drive or not. A beater car to run around in would be nice. My 47 though still needs alot of funding yet.Time will tell. Fedco

Where do you get Swiss cheese?! I've saved way worse than this!!!There was only 3 rust spots one in trunk in the spare tire well and the other on the passenger side floor board. The bottom of the passenger side door had rust. Repaired all the rust already and have new brakes in, interior is out and ready to be re done and motor is waiting for me to pick it up! Hopefully running in a couple weeks!

  25. I started the year off buying a 58 ranchero with the factory 300 HP interceptor 352

    IMG_0570.jpg

But ended up trading it for this nice 47 coupe

    IMG_0575.jpg

And buying a cheap parts car for it

    IMG_0574.jpg

But then shit went sideways and I ended up buying a nicer coupe. But it was ugly. Sold the old paint 47 coupe.

    IMG_0577.jpg

My buddy and I wet sanded then buffed the flat paint, her d what it looks like now...lowered, tires/wheels, lots of work. My favorite buy of the year, I love this car

    IMG_0582.jpg

Sold this 54 coupe I bought for parts, guys building a stock car with the shell for vintage stock car racing

    IMG_0571.jpg

Bought this 51 convertible for 200.00 because I'm weak. My brother got it from me

    IMG_0572.jpg

My boss sold some land for his great uncle, I rescued this from way out on the land and sold it for him. 1940 Ford panel

    IMG_0573.jpg

My good friend bought this nice little 50 Ford out of Montana. I got it running and driving and I sold it and we split the profit

    IMG_0576.jpg

I got the itch for another 57-60 F-100 so bought this 58 short box...

    IMG_0580.jpg

And this 58 big back window for parts

    IMG_0579.jpg

But sold the short box because I needed some cash. But have another in my sights

Also bought this 58 F-600 a couple weeks ago because it was cheap. Ended up getting it running and drove it 25 miles home. Was gonna part it out but it's too nice, it will get a new owner in 2017

    IMG_0583.jpg

And lastly bought a cheap 34 pickup cab/box. Had big plans but it ended up finding a new home

    IMG_0581.jpg

And my wife bought this 1962 Aloha trailer which we have been fixing up. Hope to use it this spring

Sold '53 Chevy 210 sedan, saved and resurrected a '54 Desoto Powermaster, sold that to a guy in California, and saved a '61 Travelall... it's awaiting some love.

Busy year for me. I got my coupe on the road and participated in the Hot Rod Hillclimb. I also did a motor swap on a couple of model Ts. I sold some OT Honda motor cycles to finance paint and stuff for my coupe and lastly I just scored a Mercury flathead.

Traded a minivan for this 62 C10 lwb fleet side. It's already in the tear down phase and ready to pull the old 235ci and pop the cab next. Complete tear down to bare chassis, show finish planned from ground up.

Project follow along can be found here. Patience as I just set this site up a couple days ago so I'm having to backfill the posts showing progress.

  30. In this last year, I have both bought and sold a number of cars.
Most notably, I have sold my 1949 Pontiac Sedan Delivery and its collection of 2 1/2 parts cars, as well as my 1963 Rivera. Very sorry to see them go, but I did buy
a Cherry 1957 Mack B 61, that will at some point give up its cab, so I can build a slick Roll Back,(an Aluminum Bed on a late model Chevy Chassis).
Like most all who are members here, I still have more projects than it seems, I will ever get to, but my most favorite car, in the world, is the next one!
After owning 189 cars and trucks in 66 years, I have come to the realization, that I likely won't stop buying, selling
    & parting out vintage tin.
I am very fortunate, in that I can easily own a dozen or a few more, at any given time, due to having commercial property, with the space and zoning I enjoy.

I send along my Very Best Wishes for the New Year, To All who are part of this Enjoyable Hobby / Business that I indulge in.
