First pix is my '39 Plym conv cpe as found in '96...
Second pix, the cars recovery using a front end loader from it's 38 year resting place in an open field in Montana.
Third pix, body restoration nearing completion.
Fourth pix, was taken in 2009 after 13 years of work and a suit case full of money spent..

Thought I'd posted my '35 Chevy phaeton as barn find in 2000 and later in 2005.
My '46 Olds sedanette as a barn find in 2005 and now in 2011, 6yrs after a divorce, very slow progress. :D

Hillbilly4008, That Willys Whippet, looked pretty straight after you finished working on it. I'm sure a pretty rare car. m.ralph

This is my latest project, a 36 5-window coupe. The body is probably the best old car body I have ever seen. The frame was boxed, fitted with an 8" rear end and a Mustang-II style front end with disk brakes and the booster located under the floor. I would have rather it had a straight axle but I might change it back.

I've got a 289 out of a 67 Mustang and an AOD that I am stuffing in there. As far as the body, I am converting it from a rumble seat to a trunk. Other than that, it's going to be bone stock including the stock (cushy) seat.

Once I get into the project I'll post "Another 36 coupe buildup).

As I got it in March 2010. Shot of the Volare install, paint stripping in progress, redone floors and rebuilt rear suspension with a 9".

Nice! Thats an interesting looking frame under the car in the first pic. Is it a former race car?

I think Boston Bill Dillman of NJ still owns it. This is what it looked like the last time I saw it online.
