  4. She never caught me, but had her suspicions... LOL. She freaked out when I cleaned some of my baseball caps in the dishwasher.

    I like aluminum wheel cleaner, I know it works very well on intake manifolds removing stains.

    Aircraft people have been using Carbon-X by Arrow Magnolia. I used it on my off-topic aluminum block and heads. It takes some elbow grease but works wonders.

    If the part is off the car dry ice blast or ultra sonic, your machine shop may have one or both the processes. On the car mild chemical cleaners as mentioned with lots of elbow grease. Have you tried Berryman’s carb cleaner?

    I need to make these look close. Hate to have to polish.
    Not enough time....and I dont like to polish.

    I seen really good results from vapor blasting on you tube. They always come out looking brand new.

    Try water soaked rag and wood ash.
    I know it cleans soot from glas very well
