I lost an Uncle about a year ago, He was always into cars. When I helped clean out part of my Uncles estate, I ended up with boxes and totes full of small parts, and a bunch of large parts. He was into 1920's-1930's Ford, Packard, some Cadillac, and others. Interior trim pieces, nice brass pieces, Convertible wood folding bows for 31 Packard (I think) and and a few others. Springs, axles, Wooden spoke wheels, Just alot of stuff. Just would like someone to say " it's all crap", or " those are nice, or rare", or point out any high values items that I don't know about. If you see something you like, make a fair offer. like I said, just a heads up on what I have, and what a fair offer would be is what I am looking for. I've gotten alot of good advice from this great group of guys and could just use a little more. Thanks in advance.
Third picture down is model A brake parts. T u-joint. Model a hub. Model A throw out bearing and carrier and the snout it rides on. Last picture is model A steering arms and tie rods. Also that oil fill that is cut and angled is probably for a flathead v8 in a model A. Sent from my SM-G900T using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
The Oval thing in the second picture is model a bumper part Sent from my SM-G900T using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I don't know what one looks like or what the value is but if you come across the convertible top assy for a t roadster I'd be interested.
Nice mix of Brass Era to 20's parts. Might be worth posting on the AACA site as well, to get some answers
The convertible top bows in the first picture have a tag that says "Bates-osborne mfg. co Marshalltown Iowa" Does that give any hints to what it fits? Or is that just a guy who might have made them for whoever might need one?
Grew up in Marshalltown area in 50's &60's. Never heard of Bates-osborne mfg. Sorry can't help on that one.
Looks like it was Gates-Osbourne. Found Popular Mechanics 1911 and Motor 1910 both had an ad for them. Thought that was kinda cool.
