what do i need for this tranny swap?

I have a 1956 ford Y block 292, with the automoatic 2 speed behind it. I have a T5 tranny here and i want to put that tranny on. What do i need for the swap? And can the swap be done? If not what manual tranny will bolt up to a Y block? Thanks,

I'll PM you some info about the T-5 swap from another site...

I'm using a toploader 3 speed from a 67 Ranchero. You just need to get a tranny that has both bolt patterns, to accept both patterns of flywheel.
Then you'll need all the other goodies. You should see what you can find for a flywheel first, then get the other stuff to match up with it.
Just make sure you verify that the splines will match up from the clutch to the input shaft.
