Is there any numbers on the body of the gear?
    Like WT-194-8 ?
The one on the right is earlier then the others.
How about teeth count, that always helps in ID'ing gears

the one on the left has 24 teeth on the 3rd set down....i counted them about 3 times praying for 25 or 26 teeth....

i'll look for some identification #'s........

there's a pc of tape on the one on the right and it's hard to make out but it looks like someone wrote on there 36-40? somone's handwriting usually doesn't mean a whole lot.....many people are wrong on stuff like this...i thought late 36 and up had the helical cut gears....

The straight cut one on the right is 32-35 style cluster, the two-***ter is probably around 39-47, the other one has the teeth cut the opposite way, I dunno if its Ford. Tooratly

Go to '28-48 book--detail pictures with tooth counts and dimensions of the various clusters. I think I've got an old Borg Warner catalog somewhere--no idea if it has enough detail to ID the non-Ford ones, but will look.

PS--All V8 Ford ones will be fairly close to same length, but there is maybe 1/4" variance even between types used interchangeably because they were made for a number of different thrust washer types, some quite thick.
