what do we need for a first class swap meet ?Your input !

satinblack , TOO FUNNY and oooh so true .Actually i did think about the whole scooter bike thing , also the cars moving around while the swapmmet is going on nearly squishin the buyers .I have that fix too , maybe .
I never could figure out why people could not hit that portpotty target myself .I also could not understand why if your renting out 300 Jjohns , why the company can not oversee them and make sure they are clean and ready for use .Another great ummmmmmm of life .

 

Orrr... you could do an impromptu tailgate swap and go find a big unused parking lot that no business will h***le you for squatting for 3-4 hours, and just do it! If cops show up for any reason, simply apologize and load the parts back up quickly.

I did this for the Rocket guys here in the L.A. area a while back and while not that many guys turned out, it still attracted about a dozen guys and a couple cars, and a bunch of parts traded hands that morning. We had a Carl's Jr. next door for food/coffee/restrooms, there was no insurance reg's to worry about, or any other overhead, nobody got charged for a space or admission...
BTW, ours went off without a hitch. The key is to choose the right parking lot and keep the time to maybe 3-4 hours tops. Make it open to all HAMBR's, and you'll get half the HAMB'R's in your area. I just did my impromptu swap for Olds Rocket guys and I sent out invitations to a lot of guys. But make it open as for make/model, and I bet you get more than the ten folks I did...

Scooter, couple of thoughts. Do it next to, or with Barret Jackson! Need variety! (Desoto (Mopar), Buick...) Put an add in Hemmings. Back lot misfits get preferred parking!!
