    401 nailheads - 4.1875" bore x 3.64" stroke

Scuse my ignorance but that's considered a long stroke? Yer standard Shivvy 350's aint much shorter than that. And the 383's they make outta em are longer stroke.

Where's the limit of going from "short" to "long" stroke?

Dynaflow's ****!! Or actually, they blow fluid out the rear seals that don't seal worth a **** anyway.

Damn you guys get all worked up over nailheads. I finally got some responses to a post and it turns into a cat fight, I hope all you guys can come to the drags and settle this **** with a bump-n-hug. Thanks for the advice and the link to the tech article. I see NW speed equipment has me covered, as long as I can get a second morgatge! I think I'll just keep it stock till I get used to it, but it will need a rebuild soon seeing that I'm going to drive the **** out of it. I'll find the weak spot, I always do! How are all those multi-carb intakes for drivability?

Valentine your about a week to late, just picked up the expensive ****! I'm sure I'll need some more sooner or latter, nice to know that ben is still alive and not incarcerated. Looks like you almost got a driver, and your an OSR hero too, man I got to get you to sign your book!

The runners on the Offenhauser dual quad intakes are not well suited for progressive operation. Might be ok for a mild engine...check them out before you buy. Good luck, Frank :)

Also Tom Telesco is just about finished with roller rockers for the Nailhead as well.

I wouldn't say hero. Maybe a hero in training. I am still in the plowboy training program. I plan on hitting it hard this weekend if you want to help with the floor pan. I am sure I will need an extra pair of hands.

Matt, Heath will be hopefully be getting kicked into high gear on the "Hero in Training" program this weekend. Look for supertopsecret (tm) things to be revealed soon.

Of course the Champaign county demolition derby is taking place this weekend so certain events in the beer tent will take priority. Besides, it is too hot to do anything in the daytime anyway. 97 degrees with 75% humidity.

If I can remember correctly you just need to change the front pump and converter.

I plan on trying to keep it the way it is. My issue is I bought a non running motor and ******. If for some reason the torque converter or anything else is toast I was wondering what was interchangeable.

Also who works on these ******s...
