What do ya'll think?

I have been wanting one of these for a good while. finally bit the bullet and shelled out the $100 for it.
Is it a sin that i painted it?
I made it my own





I had originally bought this cheaper, square Cal-Custom scoop, which got the same treatment to the chrome, but i just wasnt happy because it wasnt what i really wanted

 

To paint it is not a sin but paying $100 definately is a sin.
I got the exact same one for 11 bucks on ebay a year ago.

I have been watching them for 4 months. havnt seen one go for less than $90.
I rarely treat myself, and i just got my tax money. You think it looks good?

 

looks good but would look better with some pinstriping on it. I also see them going on ebay for nothing shy of $80 but then agian its ebay where rust is worth gold. -Jon

 

I second the pinstripe idear. I bought one from a junkyard in Tejas five years ago for $15. They KILL on a 2x4 setup!

I dig the pinstripe idea also, but it dosnt fit the car.
Its going on my '79 malibu, and i will not run it all the time. Maybe for a friday night, when im just out for fun. Ill take the hood off, and a 1.5 '' carb spacer, and think im cool as hell.
I love pinstriping, it just dosnt fit this car i dont think.

 

Hell, go ahead & stripe it. The striping won't fit the car. The car doesn't fit this board.

Find something else that is strangely out of place & you'll have a trifecta of out of place shit.
