What's playin in the daily rides or the rods when your cruisin? Just lookin for more bands other than what I listen to, to broaden my listening. Right now my three that im stuck on is Mars Volta, Evergreen Terrace, and Greely Estates.
I drive to Waylon Jennings, and other music of that ilk - cannot STAND "modern" country music, but anything with a simple beat - old R&R...any C&W that isn't too slow and whiny "is that a pistol in your pocket?....or are you...."
60's downloads from the internet. NOT the top whatever from the oldies station. I love 60's rock or motown and everything in between. But the local oldies stations around here are convinced the Doors ONLY did Light My Fire, and the Stones ONLY did Satisfaction. Good songs, but played to ****ing death. I dig **** like Pictures of Matchstick Men, Black is Black, Lil Red Riding Hood, Tell Him (Patty Drew i think), etc. But, keep in mind i'm 151 yrs old. Then it goes to Foghat, Ozzie, Molly Hatchet, Lynard Skynard, and on and on
anything from stray cats, to Johnny Cash to social distortion. some 80's metal in there too. cant forget iron maiden when you need something to get you going strong.
well damn thats one less friend candidate....darn lol. will have to check out some of the guys you have listed.
Los Straitjackets, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Stray Cats, Beach Boys, Jethro Tull, Leon Redbone, Gershwin - in the Daily Driver Beach Boys - in the T.
Ditto. Especially if I'm on a road trip I like being able to hear what noises the car is making. I've never owned a car I felt confident enough in, not to pay close attention to the power train, suspension, etc
radio is not working well in the Plymouth, so listen to the road, squeeks, and other noises from the car. My daily, (PT Cruiser) I have some Wall of Voodoo right now.
tiger army, reverend horton heat, the meteors, koffin kats, nekromantix, the chop tops, eddie cochran, anything old, or with a good beat!
wish i was able to say I could listen to a blown flat head in an old rod, but im stuck with a 4.0 in an 05........and thats no noise at all. soon hopefully I can get the 302 back and running in the truck, get the breaks reworked as well.
Today? Roger Miller's Greatest Hits. Do wacka do wacka do. Tomorrow? Maybe B B King, or Talking Heads
thats a VERY complex question, depends on my mood. mostly xm bluesville, squizz, ethel and on thursday nites on 50's its surf music. oh yeah, on saturday nites, i think, its all "rockabilly."
what do they play on the "rockabilly" night. any names you can remember? Im REALLLYYYYY liking stray cats
