as for what i am going to do is a set of 15in steelies and WWW with spinner hub caps. I jsut wanted people opinion. -Andrew
Your car and your cash, but since you asked for opinion here goes.I dont think you should mix old cars and new billet wheels .Its not a new Escalade so dont try to make it look like one.
"There's not much suffering I'm willing to do in the name of looking cool." actually, i'm willing to suffer a little...but i agree that people get caught up in the mentality of "if bigger is better, huge must be GREAT!" get bigger than 17" and the proportions can get out of whack, even on a big car.
I agree man when i go to a car show and see an old car digital dash,L.E.D tailites and shit gayfer seats and efi 350 chevy and 8000 lbs of fuckin billet it makes me ill. i loath the bling rims, some white walls and some steelies would be trick on your 56 Dude since its a 4 door you may as well go with the trad. cruiser look since most 2 doors are 'hot rodded'.but its your ride you can do what you like.
I only like those on some new trucks and cars.I prefer traditional style for older cars. But hey do what you like with your car.
I think it depends are the car. I saw an article in custom rodder I think that had a pair of 50's buicks. they did 2 photo shoots. One with 18's and one with 15's with hubcaps. They look good both ways. That being said low profile tires ride like shit on any car. Also please install longer studs. I've seen 2 cars in my buddies body shop getting quarters replaced because the 20's ripped the lugs off.
I hope you enjoyed your last Billetproof show. For the price of those wheels and tires, you could have just about ANY other combination of 15" wheels and tires on the planet, even some rare old ones.
