    Here's some of my junk.
Does anybody else collect these? My sister-in-law works at a department store and gets these for me. They are the tins that Fossil watches come in. I only collect the car related ones.

And here's some of the junk I have in my garage.

I really have a thing for signs. I started collecting these before they got so expensive. The most I paid one of these was $30.

The neon "burgers" sign came out of the local drive-in before it hit the ground to make way for a Walgreens.

This US Royal Tires sign was the roof of a pig pen.

    More junk.

Even more junk. Man I need to get rid of that Boyd poster.

So what about you what do you collect?

i collect pretty much anything mid-century or earlier...lots of antique stuff sittin around my house either for use or just to sit somewhere and look at..the easiest and most addicting things i've started picking up are old kitchen appliances (why the hell would i need an ice-0-matic??) and ash trays..the ash trays arent so bad since my girlfriend and our room mate AND all my friends smoke, but i'm running out of places to put them..i've got old end tables next to EVERY piece of furnitrue that i could sit them next to and they've all got at least 3 or 4 ash trays on em.only other thing i seem to hang onto is magazines..mostly cars and stuff, but some girlie ;-)

In the last pic you can see the corner of my 1950 International Harvester refridgerator. I picked it up last year at a yard sale for $25. Works like a champ.

I'm lookin for some old metal Kitchen cabinets now to go in my new shop. Anybody know where I can get some?

I've got a few of those myself. Most notably one on my left leg about 12 inches long. That leg was crushed and I carried around a piece of steel and 14 screws in it for about a year.

All in all I've had well over 100 stitches dozens of staples and probably a couple of pounds of hardware.

    Hurts just thinkin about it.

model cars, used to collect 1/25th scale, but now it's pretty much only 1/8th scale. I don't really collect as much as buy in on good deals. If I ever get more of that "money" stuff, i'd love to collect aftermarket mag wheels, metal flake steering wheels, those kinda things, but especially mags, I love vintage rims...

I stoped collecting Spark Plugs when the prices got crazy, or I realized I had a problem. These are the keepers, I downsized the collection to buy 1937 Harley parts. I found a nice old @1905 St. Christopher medal years ago, then another just like it, but with different wheels, then another. I really like this one with the race car and motorcycle.

I used to collect CDs. Music was my greatest passion untill my collection of 300+ was stolen. Shortly thereafter my 200+ ALBUMS were stolen. Now I don't "collect" much of anything - just save what I can.
I do have several sets of gold plated tools that were my father's master technician awards from Chrysler. Also a few fossils (oldest is 500,000,000 years old, a trilobite: others include an insect in amber, a couple of ammonites, & there's a 2000 year old clay bottle from the holy land.), & some jap anime figurines/related shtuff.
I mostly just have a bunch of cars & parts laying around. Trying to clean up that shit - & pick up some dollars for scrap so that I can pay bills & eat....

Lately, mostly hot rod parts and some cool inline parts.

I've got a bunch of '50's and '60's hot rod toys, especially the ones w/ moving pistons or inline engines.

I've got 3 or 4 dozen shot glasses, not the sort from tourist towns, but some seriously politicaly incorrect stuff from back in the '30's and '40's.

I also have a few early 1900's Arts and Crafts era furniture pieces. If I had more time to do wood working, that's the sort of stuff that I'd build.

not too many things, but some are:

    vintage model cars.
old stock car racing paraphenalia (nothing past 75 usually) mostly posters, programs and news publications.
i have two zenith radios a console job with phonograph and another that is portable.
and a lot of vintage and antique service manuals for various cars.
anything else ive looked at is just too expensive to collect.

  20. I have two of everything

    2 50s gas pumps
2 60s soda (or pop) machines Coke and Nehi
2 Jukeboxes 51 Seeburg, 74 AMI-Rowe with the front made to look like a Coke machine ('74 is for sale, has been for years, works perfect)
2 much other crap; model cars, coke stuff, rat fink stuff, music (CD, 33-1/3, 45, 78), tin toys, 1/18th die casts, BOOKS AND MAGAZINES, enough to give the fire inspector a coronary.

Girlfriend is a watch maker and has a HUGE collection of watches, mostly 30s-60s, lapel, ribbon band, platinum, and she has bought me a couple of nice old Hamiltons

I have over a 100 vintage Daisy BB guns dating back to 1913. As prices starting going up, I started collecting packages of BB's. My collection also includes some unfired Daisy .22 rifles

Zeiss Ikon cameras. I try to only buy ones that I can use. I did buy a 1929 folder but the film is obsolete and comes from one place in New York and by the time I get it developed it costs around 8 bucks per shot but it was fun to use it once. I've got a 30's era one and 1 from 53 and my favorite one I'm using now is a 1959 Contaflex Super that I got from the widow of my high school metal shop teacher. It's been to Japan and Africa when he had it. To me it's really cool to have a camera with history and to take pictures of old cars with a camera from the same era.
