Go back to where you found it...and get the rest of the car... I'm sure it's probably still there;)

  2. That's a pretty simple looking Boat Tail body design. I think my Slip Rolls and English Wheel would be kinda busy for a few nights. That 1923 Model T chassis I have would make a perfect foundation for a new pile of Tin.

As other have suggested, contact the current and/or future owners to see if they're buyers.

Reach out to the auction company to see if it's something they'd put on the block; it would be.a natural fit in a sale of the only 2 known complete examples.

That thing is museum-quality rare, so your market could be serious collectors or museums. I'm talking rare air like Lauwman in The Hague. Those places often have undisplayed stock; you could make a hell of a trade!

And finally, be glad you didn't sell it to me for $500 when you didn't know what it was! :D

I'd throw an ad on prewarcar.com looking for other related parts. You'd be suprised what turns up there. Might be enough parts that exist to build a period racecar

I think the story was he slept 'in his buick'... :D

... but hey, whichever is funnier, right?

Because of its rarity, my first inclination would be to return it to where it belongs. After getting the word out there that you have one in your possession, time will tell if there is a viable buyer. In the mean time, it could be used on any number of custom builds. Cool piece, thanks for sharing.

  9. Would make an interesting side story to go along with the sale. So, wait until the auction is over then sell it to Wayne Carini who, with much ado and camera coverage, will undoubtedly end up buying both cars for either himself or some Saudi oil baron.

Get in on the action, man!!!

Who knows, the camera may like you and you might even become a reality show star. :D

Hell, if you like mid '60's Fords, they could call your show "The @Hitchhiker 's Guide to the... Galaxie." **rimshot**

  10. First thing I'd do is put the car name in this thread title, so if someone just so happens to Google it, it would pop up and spread the word that you have this rare piece.

  11. Found this on the Hemmings site. HRP

As an automotive marque, Breese may be unfamiliar to even the most passionate Brass Era enthusiasts. Founded by an American engineer in Paris, France, in 1911, Breese built as many as 65 automobiles before production halted in 1912. Today, just two are known to survive, and both -- the 1911 Breese Paris roadster and the 1911 Breese Paris teardrop roadster -- are scheduled to cross the auction stage in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 8, part of Bonhams Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum sale.

Grab a shovel, drive out to the boonies, dig a hole, drop it in and refill the hole. Spread the story of buried treasure.

  14. Thanks guys. I'm not sure what I am gonna do with it. Right now it's pretty good wall art in the shop.

I did try it out on the 29 roadster for shits and giggles...

I'm thinking that @HOTRODPRIMER misread the Hemmings article. After looking at the two cars, the roadster sold for $16,800 including premium on Oct. 8, 2018 and the teardrop roadster sold for $78,400 including premium at the same sale. Not exactly Unobtainium prices but, with inflation, I'm sure they will go for more than that at any sale in which they are found. It's up to @Hitchhiker but it seems the general consensus is locating the two owners and sell to one of them. Who knows, it may get into a bidding war? The other thinking on here is hang it on the wall and that's not a bad idea either, as long as someone in your family you trust knows what it is. Just so you know, the scrap price on brass today is $2.72 per pound and that's another option. ;)

I would advertise it for sale the old fashioned way with a print ad in Hemmings motor news. But that’s just me....

have you guys checked the selling prices from 2018? For such a rare car the white one went for a little over $78,000.00 with buyers premium.

  24. That's kinda my point. It's not exactly a million dollar car. Sure. It's expensive. When I was reading the Hemmings story, I was thinking "jackpot" because of the rarity...But it's not worth crazy money. Especially for something so rare....

So what does that make this worth? Is it expensive? Or just rare?...It is probably most valuable to whoever owns the two remaining cars.... but is it to valuable to use on a hot rod type build? Is it to historically significant?

These are the questions I am pondering.

Check out the website PreWarCar, they have a classified section, it is based in Europe and that is where the main interest would be. Most people are easy to converse with and they are used to the cost of shipping things and what things are worth. This does remind me of the Frontenac INDY car radiator that a HAMB member had, one of five I think, it wound up going to Australia. A search should turn up the thread. Bob

Hand build a body for it, as a rat rod with rebar, saw blades skulls and the rest of the schtick. Take it an AACA or similar event, park it in the parking lot and walk away. Be sure to film the reactions

Try to contact the owners of the two remaining cars. Offer it to them for whatever you paid for it. Let them cover freight. Allow the resultant good karma to bring a deuce coupe to your doorstep.

    Cheers,
