I'm Jazz lover, transplanted from Pgh, Pa. to St.Thomas, USVI. Never liked THERE music. So I listen to WDUQ, and Tony Mowad in Pgh, every nite on the net. Its probably one of the best Jazz programs in the nation. Ha, sorry you asked. Ice man

  6. The radio, and the sound of my own voice cursing at defective power tools as they injure me.

This time of year, the damn blower on the propain heater, sound like a f**king jet. In the summer time, I listen to the gun shots. My shop isn't in the nicest place.

High Lift Cams, 12.5:1 compression pistons, and dual carbs suck'n the air through the blower.............. that's true music.

Actually, I have a junk system in the shop that I put together with 4 each 12 inch tower JBL knock offs hanging from the ceiling and put the 200 CD player on random random that has every style of music except Rap, sounds better than the system in the house and this time of year I crank ikt up cause not alot of people can hear it as they are not outside but inside and it's 150 feet to my nearest neighbor who has his craked up also, just cause I'm 61 doesn't mean I can't jamb.

Also like the sound of silence sometimes when I am trying to engineer something new.

  10. I stay on the local public broadcasting station, WGPB from Rome GA. Never miss A Prairie HOme Companion with Garrison Keillor on Saturday nights, at other times they're playing classical, Friday nights listen to Piano Jazz with Marian McPartland, big band music of the '30s and '40s on Sunday nights.

I've got about 120gb of MP3s on my NAS, but I usually find myself going back to the same old shit when I'm in the shop. I'm a recovering Hessian- that and Stoner Rock are pretty much where it's at.
    The classics-
Slayer (Reign in Blood and South of Heaven)
    Sepultura (first 4 albums only)
Sabbath (including the evil gnome Dio albums)
Bowie (the German years, for when I'm all dark and emo and shit)
Metallica (the pre-sobriety Burton albums only)
    Black Flag
    Bad Brains
    Minutemen
B`last! (hey fuck you I like shitty SST bands)
    Kyuss

Someone on here turned me on to KDHX in St. Louis as well, I listen to podcasts from kdhx.org at work, if that counts.
