What do you listen to in your garage?

Discussion in 'The Antiquated' started by 41 C28, Feb 6, 2008.

  1. Alice Cooper / The new one [Along Came a Spider] is awsome.
He is a avid car collector also and is a regular at the Scottsdale Barett-Jackson.

    Early Black Sabbath
    Led Zeppelin

  14. jazz, opera, blues.....its amazing how calm you stay listening to the music even when you make the biggest mistake or things arent going your way.

  15. Yep, R.L. Burnside is damn good music!
We also play Hank III, newest came out a few weeks ago, this cat is crazy for sure! And what hot rod garage would be complete without Wayne Hancock and Southern Culture on the Skids:D

Smooth jazz seems to keep the busted knuckles to a minimum. Classic rock when I'm feeling lively. Big Joe Shelton Mississippi blues when I think I've done good. Gary

  18. Lately alot of Setzer, Stray Cats, Saddle Tramps and some Springsteen

  19. I forgot to mention of course, the Rev Horton Heat and the really crazy thing is sometimes I will get on a roll and not realize how loud the stereo is and the sound police;my wife comes out to the shop and curtails the volume!
I was just wondering how many others have excessive stereo systems in thier shops?
I have a 300 watt amp, 4 main speakers, 1 in each corner at the top of the shop with 12" subs in those and a floor DEEP sound 15" powered sub for that real thumping sound!! Excessive? maybe..... but maybe the artistic need demands it!!!!!!!

Oldies/Goodies...pre "new country" C&W....I'm slowing wearing out all the cassettes I made years ago. If I really have to concentrate on what I'm doing, I put on FOX news - that way in eight hours out there, I'm bound to hear anything important, and most unimportant things several times.

Summer - baseball game on TV.... there's just something about baseball, Beachboys music and a cold beer that make me younger between the ears. This is why there are no mirrors in the garage or hangar - not even in the small bathroom.

"I rapped 'er up to a hunnert 'n' ten...twisted the speedometer cable off at the end, I had my footfeed clear to the floor - I said that's all there is, there ain't no more"
