I find this to be a very interesting subject. People always get rid of stuff they regret either right away or a few years down the road. This topic came about because my dad just bought a 66 T-Bird, all original and in almost mint condition. This was his favorite car when he was younger, and he got rid of it. He's as happy as a pig in shit now. Anyways, I always hear my mom and dad talking about cars they owned when I was little and they seem to regret getting rid of most of them. So I want to know what you regret getting rid of. Cars, bikes or even parts that you need now.

I know this is not mine, but it still made me hurt when I saw this pic. It is definitely a nice one though.

No regrets... In my 22 years of hot rodding I have never sold any of my cars. I still have my 56 big window truck I drove in high school.

'68 Chevy Shortbed Stepside, It was a flawless Airforce truck. Dark Blue with the little yellow lettering on the doors and rust free I beat the crap out of it as a kid and I still kick my self to this day.

31 Ford ton & half dump truck that was in running and operative condition. Everytime I get a load of dirt, gravel or mulch delivered I kick myself in the ass. Guy that bought it is still running it.

51 F-2 project truck, solid cab, straight box. Always thought I could replace it but it seems replacements that come along are in way worse shape and more expensive. Oh well at least I've squirreled away what I do have. I've probably got enough stuff now to stay busy for the next forty years anyway. Also sold ten acres of beautiful wooded land on a river bluff in SE Iowa 14 years ago. This type of land has gone WAY up in value the past 10 years. I'll never replace it for what I got for it or with what I did with the proceeds.

Of all the car's i've owned the one and only car i wish i never sold was my 66 Impala SS. It wasn't a big block car, just a numbers matching 283 glide car, but i was the second owner and i literaly drove it everywhere and daily..at least until they dropped salt on the roads.
I tracked it down about 4 years ago, but the new owner wouldn't let it go..
    Oh well..

I've had tons of cars but only two I regret selling. One was a '70 Mach 1 with 351 C/ 750 DP, imacculate black body and interior. Sold it for $1200. The other was a '64 comet caliente, although only a 6cyl. it had a flawless body and interior and drove like a dream. I think I sold it for around $ 300.

I wish I still had my 1959' 4-speed roadster. Sold it in 1970 for $400.
There's a few others I wish I still had too, just like everybody else.

I still have the 1957 FLH Harley chopper I built in 1973 though!

Top of the list: '40 Ford DeLuxe tudor, firemist green metallic, black naugahyde, chrome garnish moldings, sbc, cragar s/s bigs and littles. Built around '64, somewhere in California.

Traded it for a half-primered, '60 squarebird on ET five-spokes with an overheating problem and $2,000 (Go ahead, kick me in the ass, I still do, myself) Someone turned the '40 into a "street rod", albeit a tasteful one, with steelies and www's.

Oh, and my second-owner, '67 Fairlane 500, two-door hardtop. Mint car. No good reason for selling it.

I've never used all caps before, but: DON'T SELL ANY OF YOUR CARS, PEOPLE! EVER!
