Went out to my shop lunchtime, started moving body parts around. What does any one think of this? Model A truck cowl, sedan doors, and the rear of a 27 T coupe, does this work or does it just look shit Cheers Pete
Hah Pete from Fleet, it looks crap but better than anything in my garage! Only messing with you it looks bitchen, and I still want your tudor that is sitting in the background. Ted
I really like the look. It's different without being too far gone. Looks like you would have plenty of room inside. r
The Barris Ala Kart has a Model A roadster cowl and a T body rear. It's "normal hotrodding"! Put it on an A or Deuce frame, or Essex or Chevy frame... that's all normal too.
Shorten the quarter panels behind the door. Cut the belt line down to look lik a roadsters. Weld the doors shut. And get it raised up so it doesn't look like your typical RAT ROD and you'll have something muey-bitchen'! Sam.
Don't do any of the things SamIyam said. He already built that car. This one is YOURS, and I like it just like it is.
Hey Dago Red... he asked for our opinion... so why are you being such a hater and wasting your 65th post knocking what I think? I'm thinking inferiority complex... Sam.
Heck, looks pretty good to me. Maybe shorten her up just a touch, get those wheels powder coated black, and put a nice, simple tuck & roll black interior in there, then raise a little hell. I really like the stance. How much did you channel it & what will you be running up front for motorvation?
an aerodynamic roll pan grafted into and under that T ass would be pretty cool too, maybe. i like the belly pan look alot, from the black 29 A in rod n custom a few months back, to the 34 coupe die cast i have with a full belly pan and a nicely done rear roll pan.
It's like an X-tra cab roadster! It looks cool as hell - as well as fat guy friendly. ANd that's important when you're a fat guy, like me.
Why shorten it ,he maybe 6' 6" Other wise, yeah, make it look like a roadster and not a cut up coupe.I like it. I have a briggs body cowl that I wanted to mate up with '30 model doors and a ??????back, good to see something mocked up for ideas.

Thanks for the input, I went and had another look before I went home, I agree with the opinion that the 1/4s need shortening. Ill have a go this weekend, Sam; Dago said you already built a car like this, any photos? The bodies on a set of A rails, flat motor 39 box 40 rear etc. Hey Rat Boy, Im still trying to get to the Reunion this year, you going?
Pete: Don't think I will be able to go this year, are there a bunch of you coming over? I might be able to make Saturday during the day but I'm not sure. And if anybody is interested I've seen Pete's car in person and it is as bitchen as it looks in photos!
first off , that sedan is freakin awesome lol. second, looks great, but before you start going around cutting stuff up take some shots of it with the whells pushed back further, i think it could possible get rid of the two long of quarter look a bit, thats the first thing i thought of looks good tim
I think it rocks.Make it run and haul ass.I mean it's already painted and everything.I'm diggin' it. 58villager
After sitting in my RPU on some mock-up seats tonight for the first time I'm thinking you'll appreciate the extra-cab if you don't shorten it. Seriously, seems like if the rear end were in the right place and the rear tires were large enough and the car sat at the right ride height.... the porportions might all work without shortening the 1/4's. It doesn't look too far off now. I'd give it a few looks mocked up before shortening it. I think it could work. What color is that on the sedan's wheels? French Ford Racing Blue? What year was that color used? JH
