As I am going through the "Sitting and Rotting" section I came across this item. I believe that I have the cab section of one of these vehicle. It is sheet metal over hardwood (oak), gl*** windows within wood frames, pulled up by straps. Same door handles and the electrical (?) fixture located behind the door on the rear of the cab. I will provide pictures as soon as I get back to the front lines (garage).
Whatever it is, I would love to see it restored. A lot of fine folks probably enjoyed their last ride in there.
Yep. Coachbuilt, so the details will help ID the maker. http://coachbuilt.com/ There are groups, books, forums and historians in the field. The info is not easily laid out, but there is probably someone who has knowledge of it. Is it just the cab or the entire shell?
