    Pork,

Thanks so much for posting that pic. Thats the basic idea I have in my head for this 61.

Looks like it's gonna be a cool build. I agree with slapping the fleetside bed on it. Love the front end with the cat eyes. Can't wait to see how it comes along. Keep us posted.

That will be a cool truck. If I had the cash right now I would have already picked that one up.I love the pontoon hoods. My brother is in the process of building a 66 now.He has the porter built front and we are doing a 4 link rear. You should fix the 305 v6 and let me have the w for my 51 choptop.

Do it to it. Fleet or step side your choice. Both would be cool.

My opinion is biased as I am in love with these trucks. Please whatever you do, don't cut up that hood for filler! They are rarer than hell in these parts and you never see them rolling on the streets. I personally would keep the stock 283 and put a tripower on it, because thats what I'm doing on mine. Also the torsion bar front suspension makes lowering it a breeze. I hope you get it and bring it back to its former glory, hood and all.

    Chuck, Ed, Daddy,Coupe,NW,

Thanks for the replies and input.

    Ed,
I'm keeping this W, But I got a few more if you need one.

    NW,
If anybody tries to use my hood for filler, I'm going to do some lead filling of my own! The hood is the whole reason I wanted this truck.

the hood is what sets the truck apart from the like year trucks! if you go to gadsden come to the meet and greet .i'd like to talk to you about a w for my elky.hope to see you there. bruce

  9. Thats a great truck, lots of potential...348 would be the one for me.You could put some big rubber under those fenders too.
P.S. The hood is fine, changing it would be like those guys who take the chevron taillights off of 40 fords.
