just bought one from amazon, made by ryanstar. Anodized black aluminum, screw cap, valve in it for total return and came with hose, clamp, etc. Like $23. I think. Looks great on my elco-and really does the job.

Wes came up with 10 of these NOS bottles. They are used to check for leaks etc. The spring loaded check valve is actually made of chrome plated brass. I drilled the brass fitting knocked the check valve out and tapped it. Then got a lever ball valve on bottom and then tapped for a hard line from the radiator. Used big adel clamps. Allows adjustments and mods if needed. IMG_0838.jpeg IMG_0837.jpeg

Looking at all these bottles, don’t they need a vent if they are sealed tightly, and shouldn’t the tube from the radiator reach all the way to the bottom? I use a whiskey bottle that is not sealed tightly and the radiator tube reaches the bottom. If it does overflow it spills out next to the tube.

On the one above there are vent holes on the screw on water bottle lid.. you just can’t see them.

I’m using an old wax bottle,
It’s pretty kool to watch it fill up after a long drive,
then slowly drain back into the radiator as it cools.

Used a Newcastle Brown bottle zip tied to the grill shell on my last jalopy. Fit the rusty brown fluid perfectly... :D

  23. Last time I did MD 2020 I went to a party with a couple of 1%er clubs out of Kansas City. I don't remember much of the party. I don't remember the 45 mile trip home but my bike made it home with me. My little brother said I was just standing at the front door with my head handing down @ 2:00 AM

    Never again. LOL

What I really like about my WWII canteen overflow tank, is that it comes with a coup that serves as a bracket.
Or - if you really want to go fancy, bolt the canvas cover with 2 self tapping screws at the inner fender and use this as a holder.

Nothing very creative, just a generic aluminum recovery tank…
