Don't get me wrong. Speedway hurts the hobby as much as they help it. I'm referring more to examples such as: Brookville, Dennis Carpenter, Bob Drake, S.A.R., Coker, Real Rodders Wheels, H&H, Offy, Mooneyes, etc.

  2. Wish somebody would repro the stainless trim that goes around the perimeter of the grille on '38-'39 Ford trucks and the grille center stainless for '38 truck.

Divco wheels. Miller 91 engines, but only for the truly faithful.

Bluto, I just read where red heads will be extinct in a 100 years. So much for the memories.

I was thinking about this stuff a couple days ago. Answer to your question would be the Model A Ford. Imagine if Ford would start making them again. You could order it with a couple options A/C, stereo, passenger side windshield wiper and such, you wouldn't have too many. Just keep it simple and cheap. Kinda like Henry did when this whole thing started back in 1928.;)

In the case of Offy and Mooneyes, these are continuations of an original product line or series, not reproductions. Coker and H&H have purchased original tooling/molds to continue manufacturing original products. The other compaines have, indeed, gone into the reproduction business.

It happens. In the late 90s I bought a 2 door AZ 57 Chysler Gold trimmed Imperial parts car for the 392. Pulled the motor, and spend 6 months trying to sell it whole or parts. Sold a couple $5 items and such, but nothing else really went. I had ads in Hemmings, Auto trader, AZ Republic, and Feebay auctions. I wasn't trying to get rich, but rather get parts out there rather then ball it up into a future Honda. What are you supossed to do? Hold onto shit forever? Value is only what someone will PAY for it. It goes in waves too. I had the doors listed WITH internals for $20 for a few months,,,,, no takers.

Even right now, its not a HAMB friendly car, but I bought an 86 Trans Am for $75 for a parts car. Running 350, T5, posi disk rear. I got my money out of the "goodies" so, I figure I'd part it out CHEAP on the rest. I had one guy comedown from Vegas and took a ton of crap (seats, trim, dash, ect) for only $50. Been trying to lose ANYTHING off it cheap. Even had a guy write me asking about the front fenders and doors because "mine are garbage",,,,, well mine are mint AZ rust free metal. I told him $10 per fender/door including glass and internals, even the GTA scoops on the fenders. Never heard back from him. Seems to me if I was needing that $10 per I couldnt get there fast enough. I realise this isnt HAMBs type of a car, but it is some guys type. More guys are building that generation of camaro/TAs then 49 Mercs, so, yea, I can believe it.

Some of you fookers accidently welded your wallets shut I think.

1939-1940 ford rear fender sections. Section located just behind the rear wheel and continues around below taillite to fender edge. Ive looked at several fenders but all have problems in this area. I know if this panel was reproduced I could of saved at least seven to ten fenders.
