    anyone ever seen that vid on youtube of the guy in arizona doing 235 or somewhere about there on a public highway- It was stupid stunt but man it sure made an awesome noise as it went by

    Did some work for NHRA had some in-car video of a dragster doing the 1/4 mile. He takes off and immediately starts shutting everything down. I know it's only 300mph in 3secs but frinkin crazy.

    He must have felt much safer after letting off of it and only going 350MPH!!!:eek: It's hard to comprehend.

    I'm sure there's a pitot tube on that thing somewhere to run the air speed indicator. I'd like to know where they hid it. Probably in the vertical stabilizer.

    Definately a wild ride.

    Yeah, I was going to edit my post after I submitted it... just too lazy. A pitot on the tail wouldn't be very accurate with the slip stream coming off the nose... it's amazing how fast this thing is...

    and I thought the Cessna Aerobat I used to fly was "peppy" hahaha....;)

    With the increased popularity of landspeed racing, the Burklands may well be the last garage built car to hold this record. Each year we see more and more money changing the face of the sport.
    Lots of corporate high dollar , cad built , carbon fiber cars on the horizon.
    Not saying thats good or bad, just the way it's going.
