    what does "ass" mean?

    :D

  7. I know what hokey means, I guess what I'm asking is, "where did the name of this board come from?" Did this start out as a tounge-in-cheek deal that just grew? I would consider it the best and most informative website of it's kind I've ever seen. The talent and knowledge of many of the members is incredible.

I think it comes from Ryan's love of Soap Operas...

Back in the day it was started to discuss the latest offerings from General Hospital, As the World Turns and Bitches and Snitches.

It later grew into a discussion about automobiles thanks largely to the Pimp sleds in Bitches and Snitches. Later it developed into discussion of Traditional Rods and Customs as fools like Xibit began butchering Pimp Sleds in the name of entertainment.

So as you can see the HAMB has a lively history and though we've strayed from the original Soap Opera content we do have a few who try and take us back there on a regular basis.

  11. I always thought a "Hokey Pokey" was something a women's device for, er how shall I say... to be used when lacking a man or possessing a open minded one.

It was a joke... Only maybe not funny.

Regardless of what it means, you're thinking WAY too much. Focus that energy on your car for God's sake...

  14. 'Hokey' I thought it was something else. What ever HAMB stands for I'm very happy it's here. It has put the fire back into my car sitting in the garage.
Don't tell anyone but sometimes I like the O/T.:D

Actually you are all wrong. A Hokey is the mascot for Virginia Tech. It looks like a turkey.

look up Hokey in the dictionary and there's a still picture of Hee Haw or Pettycoat Junction.
Goofy as all get out but fun as hell, and every once in a while educational.

    Ass, that's just because it's a closeted meeting site for BF'ers ;)

Or the first server wouldn't allow just three letters in the URL?

Or it's like calling your brother a Dumb-Ass instead of suggesting he's intelligence impaired.

    Are you serious?

If you put your whole self in, put your whole self out, put your whole self in and shake it all about, you will have done the Hokey Pokey and turned yourself around. That's what it's all about.
