What does subscribed mean? I have seen it on here multiple times. Does it automatically let you know when some one post to that thread? Is there a spot to learn what the abevations mean, OP (original post), RPU ( roadster pickup). I am learning these slowly, but it would be nice to look them up.
I think the Questions and Suggestions section is going to be your friend: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6 When people write 'Subscribed' it usually means one of two things. A) They have Subscriptions turned on in settings, and are just commenting so that the thread will be automatically added to the list of threads they follow. Or B) They are letting the OP know that they are following along and are interested in what he/she has to say, although they don't have anything to contribute at the current time. I have subscriptions turned on, so since I have commented, I will be notified every time someone else posts on this thread. Regarding terminology. These threads might help you out: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=638612 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=467148
Look at the very top of your thread. Click on the "thread tools" and then click on "subscribe to this thread"Once you subscribe you can receive email updates whenever someone posts a new comment on that thread. Works great for your own threads as well as those you are interested in. As for the abbreviations, they take time but you can always ask - but be prepared to get some **** from a few guys.
