my '35 Tudor weighs in at a hefty 3400 lbs.......I think my Fatman frame is a little on the heavy side but it's VERY stout. The motor is aluminum and doesn't seem to save me much weight, but the car is pretty well balanced. We'll see how she goes on July 8 when we do the Rat Fink Show at LACR/Palmdale......love that dragstrip.
I'm not finished with my sedan yet, but the original title says 2005 lbs. I would imagine I'll be around 3000 with a 9" and SBC.
My 28 Ford Model A Woodie, stock running gear, Pinto 2.0 liter engine, full tnak of gass weighed in at 2403# on the UPS scales at Looiville in 1999.
I was told by the previous owner that my Model A tudor with small block Ford and 9" rear weighs in at 2500 lbs.
28 Pontiac Sedan ~2900 lbs. SBC / 350 tranny, 200lb. driver, full tank of gas (12 gallons), and a trunk with a weekender's worth of tools and parts and cooler with a case of beer... The car itself probably weighs 2400-2500lbs. I didn't have a steel top on it at the time, but the frame work for a folding top was on it....all of the wood has been replaced with steel tubing, the frame is fully boxed, etc. It's the same only different!?!
