Thanks to AMT and Revell and at the age of 10, nothing was any cooler than these two

  5. Don't know how famous it is, but of all the car shows I've been to in the past 6 or 7 years, I had a hard time walking away from this one. Prettiest damn car I've ever seen. It was at the Riverwalk car show in Pueblo, Co. 3 or 4 weeks ago. I was told by another car owner the Zepher was built by Pinkies. Only problem I had with it was the LS1 in it.He still has the original v-12

Id say the most influenced car would have to be ZZ Tops 33. Second is project X 57 in the movie Hollywood Knights.

When I was 15 I would ride my bicycle 10 miles every sat morning to give jack my paycheck (i worked at a local bicycle shop )so I could pay him for the machine work on my fe.
He was very patient and answered every question I ever had pertaining to my stuff or not.
I would see photos and trophys in his waiting area and he would explain the suspension he used and the cal product body he chopped.
The roll bar was glassed into the roof for added clearance, all the work was done by himself at a local shop called dugens.
I am not shure if he painted it or Charlie the shop owner may have.
This was thirty years ago and every time I stop in to see his son Scott or jack himself there is always a warm greeting.
    Fine people in deed.
So yes, this car did it for me as well.

Milner's coupe. I had a big poster of it in my room, and in junior high I had a night light so I could look at it when I was supposed to be in bed. Paul LeMat was ssooooo cool! Later on, the California kid came into my life and it affected me in an equally substantial way.

  16. Yea, Milner got me into 5 Windows. But i love the 58 Chevy, i mean how many 58 Chevys have a nose down rake instead of being lowered!?!?

Ok, seriously, no more play on words, no more bad Barris jokes. The photo that screwed up my life from the age of 3 onwards.

I was in high school when the six wheel craze happened. This had a Cadillac with two turbos and I wanted it....it's an ugly car though, I realize now: [IMG]My favorite as a kid:

My dad worked on this when I was a kid: not pretty but creative. Somewhere a picture of me, age 6 or so in it exists but I can't find it.This'll have to do.

scan1.jpg scan2.jpg scan0003.jpg 807.jpg This one tipped me over. Growing up in Dallas, it would sit out front of Custom Automotive (Heaven for a hot rod kid). Bobby Wolcott helped me plenty as I was building my '27.
Other significant influences included: Any of Jim Smith's cars, The Blue Max, Bobby Langley and his Scorpion fuelers, and Stone, Woods, and Cook's "Dark Horse". Thanks KS!

Bill Cushenberry's Matador, the Orange Crate, and the Lil Coffin, all three made a great impression on me when I was growing up in the late 50's and 60's
