As many people who have attended the G***er Reunion in Thompson Ohio have heard that there is two events this year at two different tracks. The first event is at Thompson on June 4th-6th and the second event is the old G***er Reunion that is put on by G***er Magazine at Norwalk on July 4th weekend. There is a poll that Byron at G***ermadness.com is doing that is the same and I am just wondering what the group from the HAMB are doing? I am going to goto Thompson and see how it works out and wait to here the feedback about Norwalk.

I've never been to the G***er Reunion. I was excited to finally get to go this summer at Thompson until I heard that G***er Magazine is having it at Norwalk. Now I don't know which one to go to. I am off for both weekends. G***er drags on forth of July weekend sound pretty good. Which one will have more cars? If the weather is perfect for the Thopmson weekend I may go then regardless. Because with my luck it will rain all of forth of July weekend. It is Cleveland...

The plan is Thompson with the car, Norwalk to watch...but like others have said, 'weather permitting'.

I should have added the weather to the poll also because Thompson has always rain it seems, but last year was good and the rain never made it to the track in 2008.

I'll be at Thompson for sure. I don't think I'll make it to Norwalk.

The 348/409 group will also be at Thompson again this year.

    Jon,
I have been to Thompson many times and last year on saturday was the biggest day there yet,Great show,I hopefully will have my new stretched 33 willys g***er I'm building there to race for the first time. And norwalk is our home track, and afterall the g***er is and enormous part of our gl*** body and ch***is packages so we'll take one or two there to advertise, I also did a search of scheduled races for that weekend and it looks like norwalk could be a huge event, not much else goin on that weekend as far as nostalgia races go so it could bring a good car count.

    Seeya at the Races!

Thompson... they made the event what it is. Moving the sponsored event from Thompson to Norwalk just ****s. Norwalk is nice modern track to see a big national event at. Thomspon is more like going back in time for a few days with a bunch friends at the track.

I don't see it being anywhere near as cool. On top of that Norwalk is rather greedy, so every single thing costs twice as much from admission to a five dollar bottle of water. I also doubt they will turn away any modern **** that shows up. Any event is better than none but I vote Thompson.

    Algon,
I agree with every word you said. There is such a nostalgia feel at thompson that we love it. We will be there along with the S&S team.

I am only planning on going to Thompson this year, weather permitting. The track really fits the event! I had a blast last year with excellent weather, as Im sure everyone else did. Fuel car shootout, 409 shootout, Stick shift shootout, dragsters, everything was awesome. Thomspons track staff was excellent at keeping the track sticking and fixing the bald spots from the stick shift guys :D

Going to Norwalk. Too close to home not to check it out. Went to Thompson last year and had a great time. They just need to update some facilities.

Thompson for sure, kinda interested to see what norwalk will be like. I'll probably be swapping all of my extra hemi stuff at one of them, dad's gonna throw some 409 stuff in the truck too.

I would love to go to Thompson, but I don't think my g***er will be done by then. I do plan on Norwalk though. Went to Thompson a few years ago (5-6) loved it the feel of an old track can't be beat. Might just have to go to Thompson to watch if nothing else.

I hope to vend at both....and hope you guys who have raced at g***er magazine reunion will support both by attending AND racing as in the past before you judge how much better one event is than the other. They are a month apart, and pretty tough to say I'm racing at Thompson then knock the Norwalk event by saying there weren't enough cars there

Getting the Falcon ready for Thompson and hope the Norwalk deal is not a loss, lot of people are backing out on Norwalk do to the hotel cost on 4th July weekend and the concern it will be run like a Good Guys event. The old Blue Suede Cruise was a really good time to get together with friends and just run your car at anytime you wanted and just not make 2 runs a day now that Good Guys have gotten involved.

    See you guys at Thompson
