What gears can be used in a 53 Pontiac rear

I was wondering if other ring and pinions will go into my 53 Pontiac 3rd member. I want to upgrade the rear end ratio to a 3.07 or something close. Will any other ring and pinion gears like from a Buick, Caddy, Olds work. I'm trying to avoid changing the compete rear and wanted to stay will the 5 x 5" bolt circle. Any thoughts or suggestions. Same era olds should work and I had a couple 53s that has 3.24 gears

 

I've gotten a 53 Olds but it is larger than the Pontiac, I know 48 to 52 Olds 3rd members will interchange. but I haven't been able to locate one.
