Anybody know what car would call this hood it's own? Picked it up at a bone yard just because it was old and cool and I hate to see stuff like this lost forever. I'm thinking that whoever owns the car that this goes to may be looking high and low for it. The driver side has all five doors, the p***enger side only has the one door.
I'm in Tome/Los Lunas, and I picked it up at a wrecking yard south of Belen that isn't around anymore.
I wonder how hard it would be to fab up the missing doors. I would cut those hood sides down and use this on my '26 T if I had it, very cool piece.
Right on! Looks like a Buick is the winner. Anybody need it? I've been moving it around the yard for about 10 years now.
You didn't notice the 6th door on the driver side hood panel at the lower front? Probably for checking oil dipstick without opening hood? Never seen or noticed one before on any Buicks or other GM cars of that early-mid 30s era.
Hum, yeah, I did notice that, but was thinking more about the big doors/vents with five on each side, and 4 of them missing on the p***enger side. The spear in the door looks an awful like like the 33 Buick picture LowFat48 posted. I'll see if I can find a driver side view.
Whoops, had to revise that. It most likely isn't a 33 as they have a rounded curve on the back end of the side panels. After hunting through the Buick photo sites, wow some nice cars there. The best I can figure is that is off a 1932 Buick series 50 or 56. The series 30 looked like a carryover from the 31's and the bigger series 60-90 had much longer hoods.
wow! thats a nice piece. let know if the price ever comes down id love to have it. or if you'd like the rest of the doors made up pm me.
