Hot Rods What gps tracking and theft protection systems do you like

  1. This TK103 looks interesting, can you use a smart phone or a computer to track a car with one of these, or do you need a third party to transmit locations ?

For Electronic Logging Devices maintenance I still believe my old pal Gofleet. Using 35 devices of my 35 fleet and service still the same.

If someone was to steal your car, they would probably show up with an in closed trailer.

I used to think that way until they stole an old pickup of mine. It was a piece of **** but it worked for them to drive around town and steal gas and other items to feed their habit. When the police found it at a apartment building it had numerous gas cans and short pieces of garden hose in the bed.

^^^^^^X3 about alarmed garage, locked up tight and good insurance.

My more valuable car is so buried in stuff that even I get discouraged about moving it out of the garage, and I have the keys!

If they showed up with a flatbed or tow truck with ample time they'd get any of them.
Hopefully they'd get so flustered trying to figure mine out they'd just move on to the next target.

Spireon/Verizon is my choice. You can track from any Verizon I-device. They share the Verizon network so anywhere you have cell phone service, you can track your ride. I’m on the right coast but Spireon is on the Left. Irvine Ca. Is one of their offices. Well hidden kill switches work, but if the thief wants your Kemp or rod, they can be pretty ingenious.

All the prevention tips are great, and I use some of them. But if some dirtbag does steal my car, I want it back and the s*** in jail! Trakimo works on cell and gps. If you are thoughtful about mounting, it can be stealthy and effective. It cost 5$ per month and you can turn the service off and on anytime you want. Google trakimo

Last time I checked, Lojack was geographically limited. Not available were I live and travel.

My best have been contracted by , my biker buds . They can find Bin Ladin , or the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow if ask to . This is not meant to express illegal tracking . Just an example of networking has been my best friend locating missing person or item .

I have a hidden batt cut off switch and fuel cut off. Even if some s*** would find them they would probably tear their hair out trying to figure out the procedure to get my monster lit, and stay lit. Another anti theft device could be the MAD MAX method. Someone tries to steal your car or gas and BOOM! LOL.
