Yes that would be me, previously from the Woodland/ Amboy area, we miss the area for sure, but Texas has been very kind to us.

My idea of traditional hot rodding is based as much on experience as anything I read in a magazine and it differ's a lot from that of many who post here and the old gang know, I'm not one to keep my big yap shut or not bother trying to correct innaccurate representations of what hot rodding was, is or should be. Thus because I have a different opinion to some brat who doesn't really know shit from clay anyhow, and worse than that, can't handle the truth or simply doesn't want to know, I figure it's just best to just bite my tongue, shut my mouth end let em rewrite history, rather thawaste my time trying to make 'em understand.

Now about those pics? How come they're so large (file size) for such a small pic? I scan stuff at 100dpi and it turns out about 600 pixels wide and around 70K.

Gee, I think I can take that as a compliment, specially since I'm usually called a FOC.

Regular comentary will maybe resume once I get my cars sorted. Although the '33 has been seeing some regualr usage lately, it's also come under close scrutiny by the Hot Rod Police. Y'know, the guys who think all Hot Rods should comply 100% with "THE RULES" of acceptance. Apparently my low tech yet most effective door handles are not quite what the HRP consider legal. Dunno why they also seem to have a problem with the bare seat springs. Shit, THEY don't have to sit on 'em and besides, it's actually quite comfortable with a blanket thrown over them. Maybe that's the problem, since I don't have the 'CORRECT' Mexican blanket the pink woolen one is causing them to be concerned about my macho image.

The other thing I find funny is that everybody gives me shit coz it's got no glass in window openings. It's got just as many glass panes as a roadster, but I never see or hear the roadster guys getting the same shit I've been copping.

Apparently, black primered doors on an otherwise shiney car are also something I must 'correct' in order for the car to be acceptable.

So, forgive my being AWOL but it's very important that I spend time in the garage making my cars fit THE RULES rather than wasting time here BSing with you guys. Honest.

Notice how Carps picked every little detail of the things posted and adressed each with the precision of a doctor in an operating room. Well that is what he would do to you if you were starting a bitch-fest post or you were full of shit in general. He'd pick apart every argument down to the last minute detail. So if you were a shit starter - you damn well better know what you are talking about or he'd make you look like a fool. A professional arguing machine...

That is just one of the reasons why I like having him around. Often coming off like an asshole was a trademark that he enjoyed, I liken him to myself.....

I think it's rad that this post has brought some of the OG'ss out of hybernation, even if it doesn't last forever it's nice to know they are out there....
