I'm in agreement...but how there can be so little visuals of this wild thing boggles my mind...but it's not the only class act I've seen that had only one image...so far this one has zero in your capsule config...and it raced alot...it's mind boggling...but here's another plausible possibility...many like myself take pics...when I pass most will end up in a dumpster...

Many who wielded cameras back then have moved on as have their pics...some though may be squirreled away in boxes yet to be reshared in some way by the recipients of the estates of those that have left...sometimes family chimes in unleashing stories and pics...wouldn't that be epic...

But as alluded there may be magazine coverage...there's been a helluva lotta ink in the last 70 years...there's alot of guys here that bury their noses in them so I believe someone else's eyes noted the cool factor and they snapped it up...

Jimmy knows his mags and History...so do others here...California the Mecca of Hotrod too...it might have something to do with flames too...you must understand no matter how cool they are there's a limited fanbase...I love them...many Hotrodders look the other way...I follow the Flame Threads...I often think these thoughts in a historic way...they may have felt that way historically...As a liker I salute those that said f'm and did what they desired...;)

Agreed. Some like them, some hate them. If you like flames check out the Renegades car club pics from this era. Lots of pics in the Peterson archives. Those guys liked flames. It seems half the cars are flamed.

Don Hudson paired up against what appears to be the Desbrow truck in 53/54 at Pomona before the grandstands. You can see the dairy barn in the background.

I just learned today the blue truck was never owned by Don Hudson. It was owned by a Jimmie Hudson. No relation.
